LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is true, and it's why it's so incredible that Lebron is even in the conversation with Jordan for GOAT. Chasing a ghost and all that. When you reduce it to numbers, Jordan wasn't a god. But his ghost damn sure is. And, incredibly, you could make a decent argument for Lebron today. Two more titles and things get serious.

Bron did the greatest thing an athlete's ever done: he broke the Cleveland Curse. Case closed.

Hornets just have no one who can guard him and he knew it. every time they had a run he got an easy layup and then his jumper stated clicking and it was game over.

I disagree, Adam.

MKG is a very good defender but they key to negating is not just a perimeter defender. You need a great perimeter defender as well a good rim-protector to negate his influence. If you don't have both, you aren't stopping LeBron from dominating.

Also, the way LeBron was hitting his jumpers yesterday, especially those trademark turnaround one-legged fadeaways, with that form, not even Scottie Pippen at his best could have stopped him. When he is in that zone, he is by far the most devastating offensive option ever because he can drop around 50 on you while simultaneously get around 10 odd assists. That is simply undefendable.

True maybe that's why mkg only played 23 mins

To get a sense of how great Lebron is, let me rephrase the "debate" about him:

--Sure, Lebron has led his team to the NBA Finals 7 out of the 13 years he has been in the league, and been to at least the second round of the playoffs every year since he turned 21.

--Sure, everyone agrees that Lebron was easily the best player on every one of those teams and that without Lebron probably none of those teams would have reached the Finals, and a couple might not even have reached the playoffs.

--But he hasn't made the Finals every single year, and when those Lebron teams do reach the Finals they have only won the championship about half the time. Doesn't that mean he's really a CHOKER and a LOSER????

--or does it mean that he drags teams so far in the playoffs that by the time you get to the finals he doesn't always have the team around him that he needs to win it all?

This is insane.. this must be pretty rare to be in the Finals over 50% of your career.

I think Only the 12 and 13 Heat would have made the Playoffs for sure without him. With every other Team its debatable

I think this is the thing that gets twisted so much by especially MJ worshippers. In what world is it better for determening a Players Greatness to lose in the First round than to drag a bad Team to the Finals...

I still say LeBron's not even exerting a lot of energy on his rebounds. If this were the playoffs he'd probably average 10, but since he's coasting a bit its still impressive that he's getting almost 8.

First player in NBA history with 27,000 points/7,000 rebounds/7,000 assists.

Amazing.

He's the only one that even has the points and assists. Kobe is next closest but only had 6300 assists.

7 out of the 10 players with 27,000+ points were all bigs (MJ, Kobe, LeBron are the only non PF/C).

Well, that's clearly happened at least twice, in 2007 and 2015. You could argue that the only time LeBron has a lost a Finals with perhaps a superior team was 2011 and even then you might be selling the Mavericks short- they were an outstanding team with great depth that matched up very well with Miami. For that matter you could argue that in 2013 and '16 he won it all with a team that was inferior to the team he beat.

The whole line of debate that dings LeBron for losing the Finals four times is ridiculous anyway. I mean, would it have been better for him to not get to the Finals those four years and just get there in 2012, '13 and '16 so he'd be 3-0? Of course not. Just getting there is an accomplishment, especially considering what he's had to work with on some of those occasions.

CAvs is the only team that I'm 100% sure is going to vastly improve when the playoffs arrive.
Lebron and Kyrie in particular.
