LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
And so here we are, with LeBron in the playoffs overworked, underslept and over-traveled -- a victim of his astonishing popularity. He was so good at becoming the best basketball player in the world that maybe this season, or another one soon, the preventable will become inevitable: He'll have exhausted his superhumanity, so compromised by fatigue that he won't be the best basketball player in the world anymore.

The way this Abbott prick wrote that article and these statements with apparent glee.

edit: I just learned he's one of the people ESPN axed.

Abbott did a lot of good for basketball commentary in general by establishing the True Hoop network, which empowered bloggers and beat writers alike. But he's also long struck me as a biased writer with an agenda. For years every article he wrote took unnecessary shots at Kobe Bryant. He's hardly been anti-Cavs, but just about everything he writes has been pro-Warriors (though to be fair the same can be said of the vast majority of basketball writers). He definitely did important work for ESPN, but is nowhere near as important to the network as he used to be.

As a side note, with the termination of Abbot, the True Hoop podcasting network is also being shut down. While they had annoying commentators like Amin Elhassan and Big Wos, along with WAY too much Warriors nut-hugging, the podcasts actually grew on me in recent months and I've come to the realization that I will actually miss them. I'm glad some of the podcasters I actually enjoy listening to - like Windy, McMenamin, Arnovitz, etc. - survived the layoffs.

Listened to the True Hoop podcast once for 15 minutes and turned it off, they should've called it "We all want to suck Curry's dick podcast" instead, can't stand Amin Elhassan glad that shit got terminated.

Lol that was basically my reaction every single time I gave it a listen. The first time I enjoyed their podcast was after the Warriors blew their 3-1 lead. Since then at least they started having reasonable guests that weren't wearing Curry underwear as they were podcasting.

His jump shot (and FT's) looked GOOD tonight. If that gets going over the next month.. no one is beating him.
