LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Incredible accomplishment to pass Kareem, will be amazing when he passes Jordan which barring some disaster he will do this post-season. He's just transforming into more and more of a living legend, walking history.

Jordan didn't pass Kareem for #1 playoff scorer until his very last season in the playoffs, at 34. Hard to think of a precedent for someone holding such major records while being anywhere close to the height of his talents, holding them for as many active years as he's going to. If he lasts into his late 30s he could end up scoring like 2000 more playoff points than Jordan or something crazy like that.

I don't know if this is the best version of LeBron I'm seeing, but I don't know that I've seen a better one. This man is on a fucking mission. We truly might sweep through the East at this rate. Frustrations of the regular season are long gone. I do not fear GS with this man leading us. We are repeating. This is history right in front of our faces. Enjoy every moment.

In the last 33 years in the playoffs, 39 points is the second most points ever scored on 14 or fewer shots. Terry Porter scored 41 points in 1992 against Utah.

30+ points on 14 or fewer shots has only been done 21 times in the last 33 years of the playoffs (LeBron did it before, BTW).

To @CosmoKramer point: IF LeBron had been officiated like everyone else, he would already be the GOAT. There's no dealing with him if you can't foul him and get away with it.

LeBron is just so special. He's somehow still getting better. Blows my mind. At this point, if he ever regresses as he gets older, I'm convinced he's still going to be a legit top 3 ish player in the league until he retires. Even if he plays until he's 40. I just can't imagine him ever not being a superstar. He will find a way, he always does.

He's got a real chance to end up the greatest ever. Absolute worst case, he ends up #2, if he's not already.

I think it's going to be at least 1.A and 1.B scenario. Maybe throw in 1.C scenario with Kareem?

I understand it's hard to compare different eras, especially with positions. But perimeter players, outside Jordan, he's left them all in the dust. Kobe, Bird, Magic, they're all behind him.

When I think of the perfect basketball player. I think of LeBron. Maybe I'm bias, but I don't think you can imagine one better than him.

The guy can rebound, pass, defend, and score at such a high level, and make others better than anyone that has ever played.

I think we're already in a 1a, 1b, 1c situation with Kareem as the greatest overall center of all time, Jordan as the greatest pure scorer and perimeter player, and Lebron as the greatest do-it-all player, all five position type guy.

But man, if the Cavs can win it all this year Lebron will make his case as GOAT. I mean, never before have we seen a championship-level team like last year's Warriors have to ADD THE SECOND BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE in order to try to compete. That is final boss level video game shit. If Lebron has another amazing Finals and we win, that's going to be so legendary.

He's clear cut #2 AT WORST and has been for a few seasons, probably while he was still with the Heat. The people that say he isn't are the Jordan nostalgia people and the people that don't have him #2 are the Kareem/Wilt/Magic nostalgia people. People that haven't been watching the current NBA or forgot he returned to the Cavs after he left them the first time and are still pissy.

He beats the Durant Warriors this year as an underdog AGAIN, he's the best and the argument is over.
