LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No shit. How in the hell can a Cleveland fan have a sense of entitlement? How? This team that James has allegedly put together just went to three straight Finals, winning the first championship in over a half a century for the fans of Cleveland and we have people bitching? It makes no sense. I don't know. Maybe, it's my fault to keep expecting all people to have the ability to use reason. I will always be disappointed.
I guarantee when January comes people will still be freaking out about LeBron coasting. Happened the last 3 years.

He's averaged 32/12/9 in the finals the last 3 years as well.

I'd contend that the coasting (by the team, not just LeBron) very well could have been what cost us a better shot in the 2017 Finals.

The 2016/2017 Cavs went into that series with little to no track record of being able to lock down defensively for 48 minutes, generate offense with James on the bench or limit turnovers. And lo and behold, all 3 items reared an ugly head in the finals, where the Cavs were facing a Warriors team that you simply have to play perfect against to hope to beat.

Yes, Warriors are a Kyrie Irving knee cap away from possibly only having 1 title in 3 years, but the Cavs are a Curry decision or two away from basically being the Buffalo Bills of Basketball.

I totally get that Lebron can coast and turn it on at a moments notice and amp up his performance to historic levels. The problem this year was that the rest of the Cavs couldn't really do that. Season prior saw JR Smith busting it defensively in every game regardless of if his shot was on or not. TT doing his best Rodman impersonation, Shumpert's active hands making a difference v just getting called for reaching.. Cavs needed to win the details this year, but had no practice doing so.

Very "Rocky v Clubber Lang I" if you ask me.

Yep, instead of Lebron coasting and the team following suit, we need to get Lebron a lot more rest on the bench. We need to make a lot more use of our bench while finding good unit combinations, and focus on building defensive and offensive systems that don't rely solely on Lebron's awesomeness.

Does he even have to play in the regular season this year?

He can go chill mode all year. JR Smith or Tristan might make the All-Star team this year...

The East is in a sad state. The season will be near unwatchable and they'll definitely cut back on East vs East games during the season. I think the fact that we weren't tested during the playoffs hurt last year and that might be more of the same minus the Celtics. Then we go to the finals and rinse repeat

I think the fact that the warriors are a better team on both ends of the court are the reason why we lost in the finals
