My goddess..... are you fucking serious?! People in the Love thread are trying to find every ridiculous reason to justify the awful performances of Love.... he isn’t a center, we don’t play him in the post.... blablabla..... while LBJ is the only reason we aren’t getting swept in the first round and people still complaining about him... lol I’m done.
 
If you want to complain about LeBron this series, then his 3rd quarter play (or lack there-of) is probably justifiable.

His overall performance definitely doesn't deserve criticism.

AND, I can't even complain about his 3rd quarter play. Why? Because Lue is playing him 45+ minutes a night, he KNOWS he has to bring it in the 4th so he probably is conserving some energy in the 3rd. Who wouldn't? Yes, he's an absolute athletic freak. But he's also in his 15th season in the NBA and just played 82 regular season games. He isn't Superman.

Excellent points, lost on people that need to bitch about James. Listen, last night I was bitching about his 3rd quarter, too. Gut reaction and all, but then I remembered the ONLY reason we were in the game was because of his first half. Then, I remembered that basketball games are 4 quarters long and that it was really facile thinking of me to bitch about one quarter, that he was obviously conserving energy for.
 
It might be unorthodox, but I would just sub him out when we have leads at any point, then sub him back in when the Pacers tie it or take the lead (<5 points). The obvious drawback to this might be the inability to get into a rhythm. The overreaction to the basic observation that a rested LeBron would tilt the series heavily in our favor is pretty silly (Yes, I know we're a lottery team without LeBron lol). Just have to hope Love doesn't get into foul trouble early and actually checks into the playoffs for the first time.

Its such a simple fix...

Play Cedi the last two mins of the 3rd and the start of the 4th. LeBron is practically on cruise control at the end of the 3rd anyway.

I would imagine a quick spin move like he does in the post would leave Bogdanovic laying face first on the ground when he's leaning on him like that. Just something to quickly move out of the way.

Yeah, that play was ridiculous. Should have been one of those "fouls before the ball is inbounds" fouls that results in 1 FT plus the ball still.

Koby tried to clean house of the older vets thinking it would force Lue's hands to play some of the younger/new guys, but really it just means Lue doubles down on playing "his guys" for longer stretches.
 
I’m sorry but those whining about third quarter production are obviously nitpicking, and are spoiled by lebron greatness. It’s a shame because it takes you away from reality.

This series so far, lebron is averaging:

32.5PPG/ 11.8RPG/ 8APG/ 54.1FG%/ 62.8TS%

but you know, he scored 1 point in the third quarter.. durrhh.

Totally lebron fault. How dare he not average 100/100/100 shooting on 101% FG?
