LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What is your proposed trade for Kemba and Batum? Does it include Clarkson?

I think it'd have to be #8, JR, and George Hill.

We take back Batum and Kemba.

Still leaves us with Love, Cedi, Zizic, Nance, and Korver as legit trade assets. Can also trade our 2022 1st rounder I believe.

I honestly think lavar is a legitimate reason for lebron to stay away from the lakers
If LeBron goes to LA, I just don't see Ball there. LA would likely end up with CP3 one way or the other, so Ball becomes expendable. I believe he'd be used in a deal to land that "3rd" star....likely PG or Kawhi, IMO.
Broussard mentioned that if LeBron goes to LA he'll be trying to get Chris Paul to go as well. Meaning Lonzo will be traded (Paul George related)

Agree with this, LMA is a flawed player who specializes in long 2s and can't shoot 3s at all. Truly weird. Don't know how he adjusts to having two high-usage guys next to him, he asked for a trade after a year of playing with Kawhi.

Don't really like the Spurs roster outside of Kawhi, and who knows if whatever injury this is has permanently affected him. Boston has a better roster. But Pop is still better than Stevens.
I agree not high on the Spurs outside of Kawhi....LMA stinks against the Warriors....completely neutralized

Of the realistic proposed deals out there I think Kemba and Batum for #8, Hill, and Jr is the least favorable for the Cavs. Just the flexibility alone of Batums contract hurts building the team moving forward. For me it's a last ditch trade to do.

Go after McCollum and see what Portland wants us to take back. Offer same package for Kemba, MKG, and Marvin Williams. See if the Wizards want to move either Wall or Beal.

Wait to see if the Clippers want to move up in the draft to trade #8 for #12 and #13. #12, JR, and Hill for Kemba and Batum at least then give us one more chip in the player at #13 to trade if things go bad.

Time to stop guessing then because that's way too simplistic of a take. Focusing on 23 doesn't mean LMA gets it easy scoring from the post (emphasis on the post as that's the aspect i was responding to). Especially since they defend LMA with single coverage.

So.. while LeBron was in the finals last year and this year. The Warriors strategy was layers and layers of defense. Which LeBron kicked out to open shooters, who didn't capitalize.

With LMA in the lineup, if the Warriors decide to go with that strategy, LMA would make them, as would the other players, as Kwahi was shooting lights out when he was playing, in terms of catch and shoot.

The amount of spacing he would have would be downright unfair. It's going to be the Warriors demise if they decide to leave a man on LMA, while LeBron drives past his man.

It’s not ideal....I just don’t see the motivation for Portland to take back a year of bad deals even though they clear the books for 2020.

I guess the Charlotte deal comes up so frequently because it actually makes sense on both sides.

Yes, Batum is 3 years worth of cap inflexibility.....but it’d land an All-Star PG (who we’d then be able to sign long-term next off-season) an upgrade at the 2G (and a guy who can play SF), and it still leaves us enough assets to make a play for a 3rd star.

By all means if Portland or Washington is willing to deal Beal, Wall, McCollum, or Lillard I’d be all ears....I just don’t see the #8 pick being enough and I don’t see the value on their end in taking back expiring deals. Batum is realistic because it’s prob the worst current contract in the league with 3 years left....and it seems like Kupchek is being brought into Charlotte to gut the current roster and rebuild.

For Portland, a deal of #8, Jr, and Hill for McCollum and Evan Turner allows them to open up a max cap slot next summer if they don't over pay Nurkic. Basically the thinking is if they want to compete in the west they need to have 4 really good players to do. We assume if they do the trade they see #8 as a difference maker and a chance to add someone without alot of overlapping skills like Mccollum and Lillard currently are. Lillard, #8, Nurkic, and max player that Lillard recruits would hopefully get them actually competing in the west in 2019-2020 vs first round exits.

That LeBron press-conference where he talked about how there's no room for error against the Warriors and you need to play smart and have high basketball IQ players to defeat them, makes me think he will seriously consider Spurs if they sort it out with Kawhi which apparently they are on track to. Out of all the teams, Spurs are probably the only one who won't make dumb mistakes.

Or Boston? He could stay in the east and have them ship Kyrie to NY where he's bound to never win anything.

Also mentions that Boston is interested and would actually give up some players for LeBron (Hayward) and trade Kyrie to the Knicks.

Getting Hayward would probably be the best return out there for the Cavs. If I remember correctly, Hayward had interest in coming here right before we landed LBJ. The Cavs might actually be competitive if you swap Hayward straight-up and add a few more pieces, including this year's pick. Either way he's a huge asset. Memphis would probably dangle their pick out there for Hayward.

Are people still talking Boston? How is that a realistic option with how much LeBron has faced them, and even talked so much smack about their fans. He also said he would punch his own moms face if she wore a celtics jersey lol

I dont buy Boston AT ALL.

I am starting to think this happens:

LeBron, CP3, PG, Melo to Lakers.

You could be right but its
Not a good idea to hitch your wagon to a soon to be 34 year old point guard. Recipe for disaster. They better have a good backup there
he will break down.
