LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Preface this: I think James is heading to the Lakers with possibly CP3 or PG. Or in this scenario, CP3 and PG.

If I'm the Cavs and Gilbert/Altman, I try to get to James, tell him I want him to stay long term, we will rebuild, build him a statue outside the Q, give Klutch 25% of the team (ie: the James value to the franchise) and work with him on next moves.

If he is set on LA, though, I make it clear I'm here to help: opt in, will send you to LA for Deng's carcass, Ingram & the Cavs pick. That potentially opens 3 max slots for LA and keeps Lebron's super max deal in place if my understanding is correct.

Cavs then have a quick re-boot. New core is Ingram, #8, next years top 10, whatever you get for Love and Korver. Maybe Hood and Nance in there as well.

I'd ask for the unprotected 2024 1st round pick...you never know

Section 11 of Article XXIX of the CBA -- no NBA player may acquire or hold a direct or indirect interest in the ownership of any NBA Team or in any company or entity, whether privately or publicly owned, that owns any interest in any NBA Team.

Not a technicality, central to the CBA, so let's stop it with the proposals to give Lebron an ownership stake

Man the hot takes by the media trashing Lebron is unbearable at this point. Instead of praising him for getting this team to the finals...all I hear is 3-6 and how he quit etc

Nevermind that the Warriors have been the favorites in every series for the last 3 years and were ASTRONOMICALLY favored against us. What did these people expect? No, they knew we had no shot but want to trash him anyway.

This is why I can’t blame Lebron for leaving (if he chooses to do do). The world just loves watching him fail no matter the circumstances. I’d be sick and tired of everyone tryning to tear me down while they all praise KD.

The media are just the people that watched Jordan when they were younger and can’t stand the thought of someone being better than their childhood idol.

It's what I don't understand...doesn't the league and, by extension, the media only benefit from reinforcing LeBron's case as the GOAT? Rather than constantly propping up a guy who hasn't stepped foot on the court in almost two decades, why wouldn't you support the guy who is actively making history?

Diminishing LeBron and his accomplishments would seem to have an adverse, inimical effect on the league.

Eh, James and Gilbert couldn’t find a way to get 25% to a Klutch Sports controlled interest removed from Lebron somehow? I know Michael Cohen is currently occupied but there are a few other Better Call Saul types who I’m sure could help out.

Lakers Forums are saying....

Plaschke says on Dan Patrick...
-Paul George is basically done deal (90% from what he has been hearing)
-Key is to get Lebron to come play with him
-Nobody knows Lebron but he feels its a 70% chance he comes to Lakers
-Magic is the key to this whole off season, he is the reason they hired him
-It will be huge for Magics legacy if he lands Lebron or Lebron and Paul

Also this is the main Lakers beat person that they're obsessed with

In about 45 minutes or so (5:30 our time, 2:30 their's). Apparently she's going to say something about LeBron on ESPNLA 710.

I really don't care to listen to this, but it's the buzz going around there.

No news is no news.

No matter what we’ll know where Lebron is headed before it’s official.

We knew it was Miami in 2010

We knew it was cleveland in 2014

I still tend to think we get him to re sign.

George to the lakers isn’t a shock though. Might be really good news he’s mostly committed there and yet we know nothing about Lebron.

also allegedly LeBron was in NYC that very same day, as was Jeanie Buss.

So...Spurs (w/Duncan, Pops), Lakers (w/Magic, Buss) and ??? all are making a push for the man.

Beyond that I don't know.

I really don't know if "no news is good news for us".

edit: Kawhi Leonard was also in NYC.

This is the first I've heard that LeBron was in NY. Source?

Lakers fans are now saying Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and LeBron James would hypothetically be their new big 3.

Sorry for triple posting.

I also saw a tweet where someone claims they saw LBJ in NYC but with a Cavs hat on. So wtf lol.

If Lebron goes to SA, good for him. He still wants to win. 2 chances with Pop and Kwahi to win a title.

Pop can't talk to Lebron until July 1st. Hopefully he does talk to LeBron and we get another collusion lottery pick upgrade.
