LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not sure what to think about that Windy comment. Frankly I don't believe it. But if you hate it here (makes little sense) and want LA, go for it (makes less sense).
I'm so sick of all the speculation, fkin SAS talking about LBJ's family making sacrifices like they ain't living the life of kings.
There's nothing in LA for him, he'd always be in other Lakers shadow. He won't even reach the finals with them near term.
Staying here boosts his image more; he looks like the good guy doing the right thing. He goes and he takes a hit.
We ain't that far away for being better. LBJ has to be smart enough to see that. He's the one who pushed for TT and JR getting paid. Now it's all Dan's fault right?

He can go to to LA and even win a ring but he will never be a Magic Johnson, Shaq or Kobe. He will be a interloper, not a Laker
And if he doesn't win a ring he will be worse, he will be Karl Malone

Windy is wrong. He is paid to feed the ESPN media machine with clicks and attention.

LBJ is only deciding between two things:
(1) opting in for one year and deciding again next year, or (2) signing a long term deal with the Cavs.

The Cavs already know this, and they're using this knowledge as leverage. Being the ONLY team that knows where LBJ is headed gives us a HUGE advantage in trade conversations.

LeBron and Dan are playing this perfectly. They are totally letting ESPN build the mystery, too.

I fucking love it.

This is the dumbest post in this thread.

LOL... this make so little sense, I'm going to need you to explain how you reached this batshit insane conclusion.

@TitleTown right now:

Did Windy state why he believes this to be true? Makes zero sense to me....unless there is a long term plan there to acquire pieces.

It makes sense if his finals' record looms on his mind. If he goes West, he'll remain 3-6 until LA gets the pieces to remedy it.

It also aligns with other interests: film production and having a home there.

Exactly. The dumbest thing I have read on here yet. Lebron is gone.
Well look how much time you will save reading these "dumb" comments. Appears you are the one with all of the knowledge and since he is "GONE", we can all move on to more productive projects. Thanks for sharing your insight and saving us all precious time.

Windy basically acts like my mom. If she senses I'm riding too high emotionally, she tears me down. If she senses I'm struggling, she picks me up.

Anytime anyone suggests something good about the Cavs and LeBron together, Windy has a story or a random statement to kill the good mojo.
i agree he’s a kill joy...cavs could trade for Kawai and PG13 and he’d find fault with it

Windy just said on Zach Lowes podcast that at this point he thinks Lebron would rather go by himself to LA and lose then be with the Cavs. Tells you pretty much all you need to know.
I speak Windy
is

Windy is saying LeBron would rather go to LA, lose, watch the young guys develop and wait for Kawhi next year. Instead of being with the Cavs another year where he has to carry the team to the finals only to get swept again.

Well yeah, if the Cavs just sit on their hands and do nothing? Why the fuck would he stay?

He kinda spelled it out all during the playoffs, did he not? Every press conference was "Please don't make me leave. Get me help. Please".

This isn't hard. Make some moves.

LOL... this make so little sense, I'm going to need you to explain how you reached this batshit insane conclusion.

It's a conspiracy theory and I'm probably wrong...BUT:

If LeBron has already told Dan he's returning, then Dan and Koby have a HUGE negotiating advantage because they are the ONLY team that knows where LeBron is going.

How does that not make sense? I'm not saying this is ACTUALLY happening, but IF IT WERE...that would be so kickass, and a VERY SMART move.

If another star doesn't bold for LA, LA sucks worse than the Cavs big time. At least we have Love, who did have a hurt paw in the Playoffs.

With anothe rguy who can attack, an integrated Hood, another year of development from Larry. Zizic contributing. I mean there is some definite upside. To me, if we can flip Love for a proven performer and maybe a bad contract, then we have something. Is it going to beat GS, no, but we don't have to beat GS. We have to beat what the Lakers have.

I don't have to outrun the bear, I have to outrun you. I can live with that. If Lebron bolts, thanks for the chip. We love you.

The blueprint for what the Lakers are trying to lay out for LeBron is simple.

They are trying to push for George and Leonard to sign there.

What helps us in this scenario is that the Spurs, Popovich do not want to help out the Lakers. Apparently a deal to them will be only after every option is exhausted. It's even be said that this could all be dragged on until October if you can believe that.

I don't know about George. The rumblings out of Oklahoma are pretty much this though:

Cockblocking helps us out. Us getting a guy like Kemba or something likely probably puts a press on him to commit.
