LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The whole lead up was dumb and tedious.

The media had shit takes about how Cleveland fans were supposed to feel and how we are all supposed to grovel towards the dude.

Like...I'm appreciative of the man, but good god..

Mark Jackson was the one. He even bashed the fans because our groveling wasnt up to his standards.

He's not retired. This also isn't some "comeback" thing he doing akin to Jordan/Wizards. It's kinda like when Alomar would come back in town with the White Sox or something. He's sort of just "there" now.

Which actually describes the franchise as a whole right now. Both are not winning a damn thing for the forseeable future.

...

May I add that the Kyrie ad I just saw where he's talking about getting the "11" retired for the celtics in honor of his dad is embarrassing as hell?

I can a see a situation where "2" is retired due to his efforts in 2016, etc. But I don't see Boston kissing his ass in that realm.

Lebrons defense these days....good god. I think its the worst defense i have ever seen. Seriously. You can say some guys are awful defenders but they at least try, give their all. He literally just stands there. On every defensive possession. He will get his highlight reel chase down block once in a blue moon but thats the extent of it. I know he is trying to prserve his body for offense but come on. I dont think i have ever seen a star player do this before.

Why are you so mad that he's gone if you think this then?

i think you are a bit too obsessed with Lebron lol.

Some of y'all need to seriously reassess the level of your emotional investment in a team of millionaires, owned by a billionaire who is in all likelihood an asshole. That shit is not healthy.

I just never noticed it to this level before. Is what i said not true? To answer your question, he should be playing his horrific defense for my team, not that fake situation hes got going on in Hollywood. Good enough answer?

A little bit. Lol. Im an Nba fan, a Cavs fan. So everywhere i turn i see him in that damn Laker jersey. How do i get away from it? I think i could handle it much better if joined any other team. The Lakers, the fake celeb fans do not deserve him and it burns inside of me when i see it.

His defense really hasn't been that bad this season, especially since the first few games. He's been about average. Certainly not nearly as bad as you said. What do you mean by fake situation? The Lakers are 9-2 in their last 11 games and 1 game out of first place.

Him being in LA. Just seems like it was two years in the making.. Seems like he was told to go there by his crew, his wife and mom, Magic. As for the 9-2 record, who have they really beaten in those games? I honestly cant remember but seems like it was quite a few bottom dwellers. I watched most of that game last night and i didnt see him playing a stitch of defense. I want to see them win some tough road games. Except for Portland i think all their wins against decent teams have been at home. Look, i know Lebron is still Lebron and he will carry that mediocre roster farther than it should go but i just think the lack of talent on that roster will get exposed eventually.

I agree that it seems like he wasn't the one making the decision this time, at least not completely. They've beaten Portland twice, Sacramento, Utah and Dallas (I know, not that impressive, but Dallas did just beat Boston and they beat Golden State a few games ago). As crazy as it sounds, they've been a different team since getting Tyson Chandler. Before they were running LeBron/Kuzma frontcourts that were getting eaten alive. Now they have a legit back up big man. They're up to the #11 defense in the NBA after last night.

Nope.

Overall: 41.8 DFG%, opponents shoot 45.5% against everyone else, -3.7%

Threes: 33.8 DFG%, opponents shoot 35.7%, -1.9%

Twos: 47.4 DFG%, opponents usually shoot 52.0%, -4.6%

In November:

Overall: 38.3 DFG%, opponents shoot 45.8% against everyone else, -7.5%

Threes: 25.0 DFG%, opponents shoot 34.4%, -9.4%

Twos: 46.5 DFG%, opponents usually shoot 51.6%, -5.1%

Last three games:

Overall: 25.8 DFG%, opponents shoot 45.1% against everyone else, -19.3%

Threes: 25.0 DFG%, opponents shoot 31.5%, -6.5%

Twos: 26.3 DFG%, opponents usually shoot 48.0%, -21.7%

Obviously not the same force on defense, but he’s been a plus defender this year; he’s definitely not been “the worse defense I have ever seen.”

I thought about this the other day and the whole Hollywood stuff with him. I remember lists of producer credits people put up about how busy LeBron was. Realistically those were from him writing checks or getting his friends to write checks. That's what's most producer credits are.

Then I thought about how easy it would be to give him fake offers or promise him roles in acting that he could never do. Who has a schedule out there like a NBA schedule that a person could easily look up and make conflicting schedules on any offer he was given. Especially when he was playing for the Cavs, he couldn't fly across the country for a half a day shoot during the season unless he had a couple days off. I bet alot of the "potential" Hollywood stuff outside of bank rolling tv shows and movies has dried up since getting to LA. Most of that potential stuff were probably just to meet LeBron or get on his good graces to get into his network of people to help fund projects.

Well, he may turn it on from time to time, but i have made it a point to watch him play D and 75 percent of the time he literally just stands there and waits for a rebound. Look, me saying this about his D is not something way out of left field. Numerous posters on here were saying his defense was trash when he was a Cav. I dont really understand the backlash im getting over something so obvious.
