I agree except for the fact that he’s “getting old”. LeBron is a physical freak with incredible skills and basketball IQ. Obviously he is technically getting older, but I believe he will find new ways to make an impact even into his “olderness”. I think what I’m really trying to say is that the two big things that screwed him over at this point in time are that he has (and I’m exaggerating here) no solid vets or shooting, it’s just a bunch of inconsistent “vets” and inconsistent young guys that were supposed to be stars. Magic definitely thought he could pull a rabbit out of the hat and LeBron believed him. So far, he just pulled out a steamy pile of Rondo turds.

I would be curious what we all think if they get AD and trade trim away some of the fat, including a new head coach.

Rondo acts as the voice of LeBron to the other teammates when LeBron has something important to say. Dudes a piece of shit and I hate the lakers but Ingram/Kuzma have been playing really well.

Can’t wait for NYK to trade for AD and that POS Lebron is stuck in LA with nobody. AD is literally there only hope of a big star coming as no way he leaves NY or Boston when Kyrie will be at either one of those places

That was an interesting rationalization by Rich Paul. I wonder if LeBron is still trying to "figure this sh** out" or if he's looking for someone to blame (Coach/FO). I'm honestly surprised people haven't memorized the LeBron playbook. He wants to be activated but a coach he doesn't like is preventing it so he's waiting on Jeanie Buss to decide whether or not she wants to make the playoffs. The moment Luke is fired LeBron is putting together a double digit winning streak guaranteed. He spends the first 3 quarters passively putting up jumpers and attempting impossible passes that lead to turnovers before putting in the effort on offense in the 4th (defense is still non-existent)

Rich and LeBron also did a poor job of colluding, make a secret meeting with AD while he's still retaining his former agent. Have that agent push the trade THEN drop him for Rich Paul. LeBron's outright arrogance hurt him in how brash he was in discussing other players like AD (always a weak move IMO as it send a terrible message to your locker room...Danny Ainge begging the Pelicans not to make the Lakers trade didn't help his team either). Klutch is LeBron, so anything LeBron said about AD had meaning despite LeBron's efforts to deflect. David Griffin is defending LeBron about the notion of him being a player GM but he's delusional if he can't admit that he went along for the ride in giving TT that money and JR 15 mill when no other team was going to offer anything greater than 8 million.
 
I think another miscalculation by LeBron was coming to the Lakers without anyone he ever played with. I feel like his chill mode was tolerated by Cavs players because they had vets to explain the bigger picture. LeBron pointing out where guys should be on defense even when if he wasn't giving effort had a purpose. It was just so guys knew where to actually be when he was actually going to give effort. I think vets who played with him understood that and didn't make a bigger issue of it.

The funny thing is if they don't make the playoffs or if they completely turnover the roster again, they will have this same issue next year.

I think the young guys were listening and attempting to do as LeBron said at least then the AD stuff went off the rails.

LeBron just needs a consistent star who can handle a 30% + USG rate so he can continue to pick his spots on offense and actually allow LeBron to play for seeding. IMO missing the playoffs hurts his mystique regarding the old adage of LeBron making ANY team a contender. Sadly for them they were healthy (Ball's defense, LeBron) and in 4th place with 2.5 games behind the 1st seed (GS).
 
I'm just waiting for stories to come out at the same time about LeBron and Kyrie getting gang-beaten in their respective lockerrooms.

I'm off today. So when I had first read you post, I was still sleepy and sorta hungover since I hadn't had any caffeine yet. For a second I thought I read gang-raped :doh:

That's a little misleading because they were also only like 2 games ahead of the 10 seed at the time after playing a favorable part of their schedule.
