This guy is truly unreal..NO mention of Cleveland..

KRON, Ohio -- Two days after Zydrunas Ilgauskas took out an ad in The Plain Dealer to thank the fans of Cleveland for their support, LeBron James placed a similar ad in the Beacon-Journal in Akron.

The ad, which runs on the back of the paper's front section, also features photos of James from Akron events. One of the many Akron events James is involved in is his annual bike-a-thon downtown, which takes place this week. James will hand out 400 bikes on Saturday, then join a mile-long ride on South Main Street. In the past, the mile ride was followed by an eight-mile trek, but that has been canceled.

While James praised his hometown of Akron, he made no mention of Cleveland, where he played at Quicken Loans Arena for seven years as a member of the Cavs. He signed with the Miami Heat as a free agent in July.

Here is the text of the ad:

"To My Family, Friends and Fans in Akron:

"For all my life, I have lived in Akron -- and for that, I am truly a lucky man.

"It was here where I first learned how to play basketball, and where I met the people who would become my lifelong friends and mentors. Their guidance, encouragement and support will always be with me.

"Akron is my home, and the central focus of my life. It's where I started, and it's where I will always come back to. You can be sure that I will continue to do everything I can for this city, which is so important to my family and me. Thank you for your love and support. You mean everything to me."

He then signed "LeBron" at the bottom of the ad.

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

He just wants people to go to the bike-a-thon. On that note...BOYCOTT

"Akron is my home, and the central focus of my life."

I thought the central focus of his life was diddling his inner eight year old while pretending outwardly to be a man.

NT

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

Pardon my French but this guy is truly the epitome of an asshole

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

This was/is being put in the ABJ.. Just a Cleveland.com report that he did this.. I truly am shocked by his complete disregard for the city which worshiped him. This has opened my eyes FINALLY to the kind of person he is, it is obvious that he was counting his days till he was out of the city whose name he cant even bring him self to speak of.

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

He still is an asshole. What a cunt.

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

He's kissing ass because he hates having to sneak around his hometown. He's a worthless human being.

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

And who here thinks he ACTUALLY wrote that??

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

Even if he did give thanks to Cleveland in this thing, it still would have been too late.

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

He's not going to thank Cleveland. He's always hated Cleveland. And now the feeling is mutual.

"You can be sure that I will continue to do everything I can for this city, which is so important to my family and me."

(just forget that I abandoned your hometown team a few weeks ago)

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

All this shows is he never gave a shit about Cleveland and he feels no remorse on his decison. If that's really how his mindset is then I'm happy that he's gone. Just don't expect a round of applause when you come back to Cleveland.

Re: Lebron Thank You....To Akron

Yeah, about that...

You're not exactly welcome in Akron.

Also, be careful of flying beer bottles. They seem to be in the forecast for your bike-a-thon.
