Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm curious if I'm in the minority but the Cavs have really lost me. I've lived out of state since 2002 and have made the investments to ensure I could watch every minute of every game since I left.

Yet this year I find myself, outside of reading the few posters I follow on here, completely uninterested in the team. I barely watch games or read any articles anymore.

It seems like the team has taken on the joyless/static demeanor of Jeff Green. Never happy, sad, angry, anything. Seriously watch the guy, he has the same facial expression all the time, a blank stare.

I found that i enjoyed the Cavs the most when JR, Channing, and Delly were out there just having fun. Its like we turned into a team full of Tim Duncans without the execution. I dunno, this team seems to over it and they have caused me to be over them.

I don't have a specific target in mind, but get some guys in here that enjoy the game, enjoy smashing the hopes and dreama of other teams, and show this type of energy.

And I'm still glad Kyrie is gone.

*stepping off soapbox*

I stopped watching early in the season before Cedi started getting minutes, but you're right. It's basically joyless basketball right now.

Only potentially saving grace is that IT normally does play the game the way you describe. So if he gets healthy and gets his flow back....maybe.

Otherwise, I'm right there with you. Very little interest in this team, which diminishes further whenever the usual LBJ soap opera issues emerge.

2014-2015 post Mozgovr trade:

(1) Engaged LeBron. #1 culprit for killing my interest in the regular season. We were close to an 80% version who was going for the MVP this year but sadly that was short lived.

(2) Kyrie magic with the dribbling, acrobatic layups and clutch shots. A walking oohs and ahhs

(3) Delly - guy blew up on the biggest stage but we all saw it coming during that season. Unselfish basketball, aggressive defense and sacrificed his body every night. Sad heleft but happy he got paid.

(4) JR/Shump - JR crossovers and shots that went in the harder it appeared. Shump with world class defense night in and night out. Appeared disgusted anytime a shot was made near his viscinity

(5) Mozgov took our interior defense to another level with blocks and Shaq like ferociousness as he attempted to dunk everything.

(6) TT was the glue guy. His skills were limited but his effort and intensity was always in overdrive.

That team went 33-4 after those trades w/ insane defense and blew teams out in the first quarter. Injuries derailed them sadly

And the crazy thing is, none of those guys were superstars... We don't need a DJ. But if we can figure a way to get Dedmond and Bazemore and push the defensive effort/add some practises... I think we can actually make the season more interesting.

If Bazemore gets on this team I may just call it a day on the season.

I’m not looking forward to the Warriors game tomorrow. Guaranteed L.

Under normal circumstances I don’t think you’d see the guys play hard because of “not wanting to give game plans away”...and the fact that we’ve been struggling will only compound it.

Unfortunately, the way the Dubs managed to successfully hang on for dear life last night after having that giant lead, whereas we also had a giant lead and couldn't get it done, tells us where both teams are right now.

I don't know with this team.

I won't be surprised if we blow out the Warriors and everyone starts shooting like they are on PEDs.

Then again, I won't be surprised if we get royally annihilated either.

I expect it to be close...but like you..I don't know..

One thing I've noticed this year is the dramatic increase of clowning LeBron on social media. You always had it from haters, but now it seems to have tripled at least. He's too old, hey Lebron "where's Kyrie", "he needs more stars"....it just goes on and on. I wonder if social media was around when Jordan was on the Wizards he would have been clowned like this.

They will probably come out lethargic because they are afraid of trying hard and losing. Hope I'm wrong, obviously.

They're going to get absolutely slaughtered tonight. Nothing like humiliating your hometown fans even more.
