Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is reminiscent of 2010-14 when the Cavs couldn't ever catch the Heat. Only worse, because LeBron is here, and they traded the next best Cavalier EVER to a team that didn't deserve to be enriched. (Don't give me that "he asked for a trade" crap, the Cavs could and should have regarded it like the Lakers did Kobe). The team has not improved. It will not improve. Not even with a blockbuster trade.

The Brooklyn pick is gonna be lame, and there's no team I can agendanize to root against the Cheat Codes while the Cavs are on this downward spiral.

I hate the Golden Shower Warriors more than I could have ever hated the Miami Cheat and that's saying something.

I didn't expect us to win tonight so honestly I'm not overly mad that we lost. There were a lot of dumb turnovers and wasted possessions and you just can't do that against a great team.

However, I can't stand some of the comments on Twitter right now about how it's a crime/joke that LeBron has played here for most of his career and has only won one championship. One championship. In Cleveland. Like don't get me wrong there's plenty of blame to go around for why the Cavs have only one ship from the front office and on the court but really? Less than two years removed from that elusive championship and fans are bitching about only winning one after a regular season game?

These are probably the same people who wanted to keep Andrew Wiggins, who probably sold their Indians season tickets so it was easy for slapdick bandwagoning Cubs fans to pack Jacobs Field during a World Series in Cleveland, and are probably the same fans who said the Browns ownership is better than the Cavs last summer when the Browns have a criminal owning the team who has taken a shit fuck of a team and turned them into the worst team in NFL history.

By no means am I saying the Cavs are above criticism but god damn we go from being in the lottery four straight years to getting to the Finals three straight years including one victory and it's almost like some people would've been happier if we never won shit. Like where's the shame in losing to a team that had to have some of the most lopsided things in sports history go in their favor? You can't compete against dumb luck!

Bi-coastal trash hating on Cleveland, same old garbage. Twittering twits on twitter are like maggots in the garbage bin, keep the lid closed and drag it out to the curb without looking. Twitter is the landfill of the internet.

Could you imagine Bazemore and Dedmond on this team over TT and Smith? Their defense alone would be a godsend.

Well it was close ..till the second half.
Man this team doesn't know what the word defense means..too many breakdowns..and it's mental.

If you wanna watch ball movement then watch us when Lebron is on the bench. He’s the ball stopper.
Hate criticizing the guy because the haters pick up on it and take it to another level but yeah, he's in danger of becoming a relic. His athleticism has waned and his gravity along with it. GS don't even have to shade their defense towards him and it limits how much he can create for others without racking turnovers. Needs to buy into a fluid system now that Kyrie is gone.

But he won't because this style will continue beating up lower teams and giving him a false sense of security that it will work against GS

Offense comes so much easier for GS than the Cavs.
because they have 4 world class ballers. We have the best player out of the 2 teams but then they easily have they next best 4 players.

Lebron
KD
Curry
Green
Klay

Pretty sure that nobody has a sense of security about the Cavs right now, false or otherwise.

It's true. It's painful to admit, but it's true.
He's acting more like the "bad Kyrie" that we all used to torch here on RCF. Or to be more accurate, the "bad Westbrook" who fills a stat sheet but the team doesn't do well despite the "good basketball".

I know this happens every year with LeBron but I dunno. I think he's realizing he screwed up. For all his basketball brilliance, there is no salvo for bad defense, bad shooting, and bad coaching in one person. The league isn't like that anymore, when you have KD out "Deciding" the original "Decisionmaker".

This team is toast. I don't like to watch it anymore, and I watched some horrible Cavs teams over the last decade. The cloud of Golden Shower obscures any joy I would have gotten out of watching the way the Miami Cheat did not.

and the bloody coaching. Why the hell are we wasting time with TT if he's going to play like this BS? The bench for the first time EVER made you not dread that LeBron wasn't on the floor.

And then TT comes back and he's just playing like crap. Does Lue know how to properly adjust to a situation? How is it that LeBron (with one major exception) finds himself paired with these Andy Reid-caliber coaches?

I don't think it takes a brain surgeon to see one obvious that should be made:

There is zero reason to start JR over Wade at this point. As Isaiah rounds into form and gets his stroke going more consistently, we will have enough spacing with IT3, Love, and Crowder to insert Wade back into the starting 5.

Beyond Wade being the better than JR, I think the biggest thing is he still rebounds well for a guard. It's also like having a 3rd PG on the floor which really helps at breaking down the defense and finding paths to the rim, which leads to open shots.

Let JR come back off the bench in the second unit, and get his minutes down to 15-20 a game. There's just such limited value to what he does in the starting 5 right now. Let the future HOF start, and let the team start to gel around it. I'm not saying you consistently play Wade 30 mins a night, but that is what we'll need come the playoffs. I just think it makes a lot of sense to let re-insert Wade now, so the team has it's "best" starting 5, and they can get acclimated going forward.
