Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We know it’s a sheer lack of effort because they finish the first quarter up 20 points consistently. Then they take their feet off the gas

See got a pygmy PG; a shooting guard that can't shoot; a pouting, manipulative super star; Love with no cajones; and an undersized C who can't defend or protect the rim; and a coach that makes Brown look like Pop...and I thought we were in trouble

Still don't think they beat the Cavs in the playoffs though so I'm not sure how much he'll laugh

For those that disliked this I'll make a wager with you of your choice that Cavs make the finals ... There will be a point again this season where this team is fun to watch again

I'd wager the field on that right now, honestly.

Fortunately, I'd have to seriously consider wagering the field against GS as well out west. OKC can now outplay them on both sides of the court 4 out of 7 times, and Houston still has a prayer.

Like I said, time for the two parties to go their separate ways; no doubt the extremely talented and well constructed Cavs couldn't go to another couple finals in a row without the LeBron factor.

Kyrie is laughing his ass off and rightly so

Wrong player left town , this team doesnt give a flying fuck how they play
DO NOT TRADE THE #1 Pick

Fuck Lebron and his bullshit drama

Neither should have left. The Cavs botched that trade, and no amount of people who buy into the Kyrie trolling and "desire to leave" will convince me otherwise.

Even ESPN seems to get this: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...onio-spurs-handled-trade-demands-worlds-apart

Sooner or later, the truth of what really spurred that idiotic trade will come out, and it won't be pretty. Soon LeBron will be gone. And the Cavs will be worse than they were in 2010. And they'll be basically the 2017 Browns of the NBA, we'll be looking to see if they pull off the impossible 0-82 season. Only the Sixers have come close, and even they seem to have a brighter future than the Cavs might if end up having if the dumb stuff continues. Cavs could have had Love/Kyrie for a good while after this. Now they'll likely have nothing.

The elephant in the room (shout out to the former "NoTitleTown") is LeBron. I think he has something to do with the changing Cavs, and I'll leave him alone for not playing well, because everyone around him is so bad it makes me nostalgic over the Earl Clark/Jarrett Jack/Dion Waiters Cavs.

No, the Cavs won't ever be Finals bound or even "good" without him. But clearly there has to be something there: why do teams he's on have these similar issues, each and every year? Why do we keep having to call for the coach's head? Blatt gets a pass (somewhat) because LeBron wasn't part of the plans when he joined. But I felt as if he weren't even allowed to coach. Lue doesn't seem to be doing anything. This team is constructed to move on LeBron's whim, and little else. He's at a point where he really can't do it.

this team is so poorly constructed, that stupid first round pick won't save the Cavs. they don't play defense. they're giving up scores I used to laugh about the Nuggets and Suns having.

The lack of effort starts with LeBron and stems from the fact that he knows no matter how well the current roster plays they cannot beat the Warriors.

Lebron wants to hold the Cavs hostage, this isn’t a question. The only time in his career he didn’t was three years in Miami but Wade and Bosh were locked up. He’s still pissed he wasn’t the highest paid player on those teams.

He overplayed his hand last summer. He wanted to move Kyrie for his Clutch guys and it blew up spectacularly in his face. Now he doesn’t have a guy that can score at an elite level.

More curiously this summer the other elite younger NBA players appeared to decide that playing with LBJ wasn’t worth it. Butler and PG shied away from CLE rather than perusing it as a destination regardless of how good the chances were for making the finals. Even Melo publicly wanted to go elsewhere.

I may be reaching, but LBJ may need to do a little damage control of HIMSELF with the players. In order to team with let’s say a PG, he may have to relinquish some contractural control at other destinations for another star to be comfortable. Not everyone is Kevin Love who is willing to be dragging through the mud every trade deadline and offseason as trade fodder to give LBJ better ‘pieces’.

My guess is LBJ resigns with the Cavs- I don’t think he’ll ever give up control. Unfortunately, I also don’t think another superstar is coming here on a long contract while LBJ is on a year to year deal.

We’ll see how it plays out.

*irrational venting hat on*

You know who's fault this really is? Kevin fucking Durant. Even if we still had lost the finals in 2017, I promise you Kyrie wouldn't have asked for a trade if KD wasn't on that team. Because there would still be a shot this year.

We are the unfortunate victims of a lot of freak circumstances all happening at once to create the Warriors (Curry's ankles, cap spike, KD's low self-esteem) and we are the biggest victims because we are essentially losing what was going to be the Lebron-Kyrie dynasty. Fuck them.

I think we just got to ride it out. Personally, as a fan of the player and person of Lebron James, I want this season to quickly come to an end in the least hurtful way possible to Lebron's legacy.

My best case scenario: Lebron re-signs with a promise from Gilbert to sell the team to him. If he realistically won't be able to create a team that compete with a healthy Warriors, then why not try to be the first player-owner?

Cavs fan first. LeBron fan second.

The only two good things about a LeBron exit would be: (1) no more front running fans, and (2) no more LeBron strangle hold on the front office.

I LOVE watching LeBron play when he actually tries to win, and I won't hate him if he leaves. But just as there are MANY positives to having LeBron, there are also many negatives. It's a mixed bag for sure.
