Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jesus yall are some "in the moment" Debbie Downers...

This team wasn't expected to compete for the playoffs before they beat the Nets twice. That same Nets team has lost to the Pistons, Wizards and Bulls (I think?) since. The reactions many here have now aren't even on par with what teams that are *actually* underachieving (Miami, Toronto, Orlando, Dallas) are going through. Why is that? Why are Cavaliers fans, whose team was expected to be close to where they are now, reacting more negatively than Heat/Raptor/Magic/Maverick fans?

This team is wildly incomplete, incredibly young, ravaged by covid/injuries and in the middle of a rebuild. We don't have a young Lebron, but we have good parts that need time and experience to grow from. There's no less than 7 guys on the roster that I want another 1-2yrs of to see what they can become together; and I'm kinda looking forward to what they might be.
Until the Cavs get a stud SF in the draft or via FA that can “really” shoot (not one that needs to pick to set him but one that can pull up in face), can create his own shot off the dribble and be half way decent in creating for others......WHATCHA SEE IS WHAT WE ARE AND WILL BE

Well guys it could be worse! We could have Scott Brooks as our coach like the Wizards do and imo they also have a worse front office. Although they do have Beal as a really positive trade asset if they were smart enough to make a move to trade him.

Windler is young, so he can still develop. But i am disappointed in his game right now. He is weak, slow and his shot looks funny. I thought he would be better than this.

We are the worst team in the league I think.

Maybe Washington is a bit worse but it isn't by much.

yeah we are terrible right now. Cant score, cant defend, cant shoot, cant pass, cant basketball

Getting pretty annoyed checking the box at halftime and finding Okoro with zeros in the assists and rebounds category and a handful of points or less.
He’s not involved in the offense at all. He’s parked in the corner. That’s been his place on offense all season.

Yes. If we are going to suck - which seems to be the reality - perhaps we should develop players like Okoro on both ends of the floor.

Good luck developing him with Sexton hogging the ball.
You can't say that when sexton has the most assist in the team and the most points. In fact, sexton would have a couple of assists more per game if the rest of the team makes their shots or dont fumble. Problem with okoro is he's too passive. There are a few opportunities per game where he can just hoist or take it to the hoop but he choose to rotate.

Umm Windler is not young: he's freakin 24. Only one year younger then freakin Cedi.

I think it's fair to give him a year or two as we've seen shooters struggle a bit with NBA speed before settling down such as Joe Harris but Windler's age is not one reason to be hopeful about him

I stand corrected, but he has hardly any NBA experience, so i am holding out hope. But like others have said, almost everyone on this team is too timid, and defer to Sexton way to much.

Joe Harris took at least 3 years to become legit. And he’s got 25 pounds on Windler. So assuming Windler can gain that weight and can stop getting pushed around, and assuming the shots start falling, yes he could be helpful to our team in a few years. That’s a long time when you consider there were people on this board in love with him before he even played an NBA game. I’m still happy to see him play right now though since he at least plays hard and takes up minutes from Cedi.
