LMAO at the Kings announcers saying that Issiah Thomas's season could "be argued to have been better than Kyrie's" or some shit. What a joke.

I have to admit, I didn't think they could do it. After they beat the Rockets in March to make it three straight (over OKC, Denver, and HOU no less), I became resigned to the idea that this team would gun for that 8th spot. When they started to lose before the trade deadline, and we began to hear the rumblings about Sessions getting traded, I refused to believe. When Kyrie got hurt, and the team wouldn't set a timetable for Varejao, I started to get optimistic. After they won 2 of 3 a couple weeks ago, I was irate. I thought to myself, "this team has been given a chance to get back to where they truly belong, and they're going to blow it." But they did not.

Sure there were a couple bumps along the way. Winning at Washington without Kyrie and Jamison was unfortunate (damn you Gody!), and beating the Knicks at home was far from a pleasant surprise. But the way this team scratched, and clawed, and fought its way to loss after loss was nothing short of inspirational. They were 7.5 games back of New Orleans on March 12th. Going into April, they were 5 games back. They were still 5 games back with 2 and a half weeks left, but this team dug deep and pulled off a miracle.

My hats off to Gilbert, Grant, everyone in the organization (Lord knows I made a few accusations out of frustration, and I will happily admit I was wrong), and especially the players. Varejao once again hopping on the tank at the perfect moment. Jamison and Parker flawlessly driving the tank down the stretch. And all the other players who did their part to make sure that the tank stayed its course, even when some guys (Hudson, Gody) seemed determine to veer it onto the path of Perry Jones.

Bravo Cavs! Here's to May 30th, when we collectively hold our breaths and pray that a bunch of balls lead us to a man with a unibrow (no homo).

It's been quite the ride boys! Let's wash the good ole tank off, drive her into the garage, and fix her up for next time ;) Hopefully we get the balls to drop our way and we won't be riding next year.

Time to start a thread with good luck and karma messages to send towards the Cavs and the Lottery.

Or, we can ride it out with this one :D

Can't help but think what if. You guys realize if the Knicks wouldn't have come in here and sucked it up last week we'd be tied with Washington for 2nd? I know hindsight is always better, and no one knew that Washington would go on a fucking tear to end the season, but man, what could have been...

i think it's a fairly safe bet that washington would have found a way to lose an extra game if the 2 spot was actually on the line.

Well we gave it all we got- our tank achieved its goal of losing the last 2, and only a stupid 6-point quarter from NOLA and McHale reinserting Dragic/Budinger kept us from owning the #3 spot. http://www.popcornmachine.net/cgi-bin/gameflow.cgi?date=20120426&game=NORHOU

Really though, a job well done- the loss prevented us being in a possible 4-way tie for 3rd, instead we're only in a 2-way tie. We didn't achieve best-case scenario, but got the next best one.

So, when is the coin flip?

For me, I don't approve of the methods losers take to get a high pick, but we unfortunately can't play normal when the other 95% of the bottom dwellers do that.

But not only did we attempt to hang tough, play hard, and still earn a higher position, some of god's strings were forcing the Hornets to suddenly play hard too and the Kings to win a few more. Nothing short of breath-taking... So give a little credit to them for winning all those games they could've lost. They could've looked like the Bobcats (shame on them for not even being able to become the worst team in NBA History)...

Ppl asking me about Cavs. Did absolute right thing by tanking. Under rules they need high picks to have chance. Did what they had to do -- Brian Windhorst

Windhorst publicly calls out the tank. Slap in the face of the players...not so diplomatic Mr. W....
