So without any form of structured religion per se, like a set of codified beliefs and principles that have been scrutinized and evaluated over time; you're kinda just making this up as you go, right? I ask that honestly.

Sounds to me you are trying to find holes where there are none so you are trying to exalt religion and especially that catholic cult as the truth and if you dont learn in a religious setting, then you dont know the truth.. which is quite the opposite when the Word of God clearly says we need to study to show ourselves approved. You seem to have the wrong view on a lot of things. Lacking critical understanding. But you can have the mind of Christ the Messiah, the Creator of heaven and earth and it is a free gift. Do you want it?

Are you aware that they altered the 10 commandments and removed the 2nd commandment? Which is a pretty big and important commandment.. number 2, right after number 1, which is to have no god before the Lord your God.. and then number 2 which is to make no idols, they removed...

1. I think it is rather universally accepted that Jesus Christ existed. Whether or not he was the son of God, or rather Mary trying to hide some sort of infidelity is another matter.

2. Jesus Christ was a middle eastern man and looked nothing like his depiction today. He was a dark skinned Semite.

3. There had to be some sort of "Creation". That doesn't mean evolution is false. It's almost impossible to believe in it as laid out by Genesis. But there are too many mathematical properties in the universe for me to believe there was not some sort of intelligent creator. Whether or not the Creator still exists, or is all powerful and knowing is another matter. It's possible shit just got out of hand. Also, did I mention that evolution is real?

4. The bible is full of parables and figurative speech. That isn't a bad thing. I actually like church and go semi-regularly even if I don't believe most of it literally.

5. We will probably solve all of the questions regarding religion in this thread. I'm sure of that.

Why was your God not worshiped at the birthplace of civilization? Since we all derived from one incestual family, shouldn't that history have been retained throughout the generations? Rather than a couple thousand years of religions that existed before the idea of a singular God?

You can study the Bible all you want; that doesn't mean you understand thousands of years of (Holy) tradition, or the Judaic origins of much of the basis for Christian understanding and practice; because if you did, you wouldn't call Catholics "idol worshipers" or accuse them of altering the commandments. If you understood the history of the religion, and how the Bible is composed, you'd understand how the commandments are enumerated and why various sects based on various readings enumerate them differently.

And to be honest, I'm not saying I don't believe in "Creation", because I'm not too sure what I believe.

All of this seems so impossible without some sort of interference from SOMETHING or SOMEONE.

What I am saying is I don't for a second believe in this evil god that Skyscraper seems to be pushing on everyone. Preaching forgiveness or you will be banished to an all eternal hellfire, while not being able to forgive for sins committed in an imperfect world that he supposedly created.

A more acceptable theory would be finding a link between all religions somewhere and following that trail.
