They really weren't in it. Melo was 7-20 from the floor, Stat and Lin combined for 14 turnovers.

Were it not for some Smith/Novak 3's this game would have been blowout city.

Yea he was bad, whole team was bad. I'm not sure, but it loosk to me like Carmelo has lost a step or two as well. I know with Amare it looks obvious, but man I can't remember the last time I've seen Carmelo dunk on someone in the lane. Lift looks diminished.

Melo is just not in shae anymore, its like he doesnt have the dedication to conditioning. Since entering the league him and lebron have gone in opposite directions physically

Yea I agree. He seems to get tired during the games, he doesn't blow past anyone anymore or elevate over anyone. I know he never was the greatest of athletes, but he used to be more explosive than he appears to be now.

He's rarely been a guy to dunk ON some one. But just last game before the Heat, he had a pretty nasty dunk. I just think Carmelo has never done good against LeBron because LeBron has the size and speed to throw him off his game. Not too many people in the league are has physical as Melo with LeBron and Ron Artest as the rare exceptions. Plus Melo was probably rusty since he just started coming back from his injury.

One bad game and all of the sudden Lin sucks. I never said he was an all star, but he is a decent starting pg in the nba. Problem I saw was that the Knicks only have one ball handler and as soon as they prevented Lin from getting the ball or bringing it up, the Knicks couldnt do anything in sink.

Melo* and no. He sucked because Chalmers did a hell of a job on him. The CHeat play great defense. MELO was back against the Nets and Lin had 21pts 7reb 9asts and 4 steals... He also played well against Atlanta, another game Melo started.
