The shit he says is outrageous bro..
Let me go down a list of things that he's said pulled from the first page of Google that I take exception to:
“I’ve been coaching them all their lives. I’ve instilled something in them that you can’t take out. Like, ‘No shot is a bad shot.’ ”
“If Charles thought like me, maybe he’d win a championship.”
“My son will only play for the Lakers.”
Then this doozy:
“You got LeBron, it’s gonna be so hard for his kids, cause they gonna look at them like ‘you gotta be just like your dad.’ ”
“All three of my boys are going to be one-and-done.”
“A billion dollars, it has to be there. That’s our number, a billion, straight out of the gate. And you don’t even have to give it to me all up front. Give us $100 mil over 10 years.”
“I’ll tell you right now, he’s better than Steph Curry to me.”
“To me ‘Zo is the best player in the world. … I don’t know if he can beat (LeBron James and Russell Westbrook) one on one, but I know he can beat them 5 on 5.”
“Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one.”
“Lonzo and LiAngelo each drive $100,000 BMWs.”
His son's reputation. His son is a grown man. What happens when a LeBron James comes up to him and says "we're peers now, so I'm gonna tell you and not your father; tell your father to keep my kids name out his
fucking mouth."
Does Lonzo just say "okay, I'll tell him..." I doubt it.. More likely than not, he'll stand by his dad, regardless of the irate nature of his comments. This will damage relationships, needed relationships, in a league of close business ties.
Shitting on Nike, for what?
What if LaVar isn't the business genius he thinks he is? What if Nike is a better option than LaVar representing his son? How is it that LaVar is even involved in this anyway?
It's like he's trained a horse or bred a dog, and is now taking him to the show. As a parent, I find it disturbing and offensive.
I .. just don't see how when so many Black people are criticizing him regularly.
I know what you mean.
I definitely know what you mean...
I... I honestly don't think so bro.. It could be a factor for some, but as I said before, I fully think he's damaging his son's reputation, and being a Black man, and a father, I think the way he treats his sons as commodities to be traded for his own enrichment and self-aggrandizement .. it's disgusting...
Again man, I'm asking.. and I'm listening.. what am I missing?
