Well I am in need of a new car and now have the steady job and money to buy one. Now I am not looking for new unless I can get a good deal. But looking for a few years old 2002-2006 range.

Doesn't need to be classy, nothing exciting. Looking at the price range of 12,000 and below as of now. Looking for a nice looking car with 2 doors that gives good gas millage.

Just wanting to see what kind of cars you guys think are good, have good expieriences with or bad ones.

Unless you got money to put into the car, id stay away from BUYING any German car, BMW, Benz, all that, they are expensive as hell to maintain and replacement parts are expensive as hell, i have a few friends who are leasing BMWs and are paying so far out the ass its crazy.

Hondas and Toyotas are very reliable, my parents have 2 Toyotas and i have a Honda, and i have no problem with my Accord which im going to be getting rid of pretty soon. You can a good deal on Hondas, but they arent going to be much cheaper then 10,000.

American cars are pretty good, Fords and what not, you can get an Impala for pretty cheap in the 3-4,000 range. But you got to remember, with used cars, you pretty much get what you pay for, so dont look to far into any "deal" for under about 2k on a car that that was made much after 2000

Get an Accord and call it a day!

I'll deal you my 99 Neon aka "The Panty Soaker" for a cool 5 g's...hit me up :chuckles:

I like Honda's.. They seem to also keep there value very good.

I was looking at the newer car company in Scian TC seems pretty sharp at a good new price. Anyone hear of anything good or bad coming from this car?

A neon.. Come on bro :chuckles:

I see a lot of Scions around here, there were a couple people who drove them to school when they first came out, i dont know how they hold up or what there deal is, i have never driven or rode on one, so i cant really speak on it, best to check a Car & Driver or Consumer Reports type site to see unbiased opinions on the car.

And yes, Hondas do hold there value very well as well as Toyotas, and like Nikki said, an Accord (which is what i have) has nice V-6 and can get you where you need to go and has pretty nice pickup.

You'll probably get a much better car/interest rate if you just settle on a new car, probably in the 15000-17000 range. Even if you have to take the payments out to like 66 months, just kick in an extra 50 or 100 whenever you can, and you'll pay it off a ton earlier than expected, and save a lot in interst.

A scion is basically a re-branded Toyota. Much like a Saturn was a GM back in the day.

Yeah, Scion is a product of Toyota, featured to the younger audience. No word on how they hold up because they are so new.

I would bet you are too young to buy a new car because you have no credit and you couldnt afford one anyway, just guessing..

Your best bet would be to go with something cheap right now, save your money, get through school and then buy a good car after that. Cars are a horrible investment and there is no reason to tie a lot of money up into one right now.

Get a 4cyl Toyota, most dependable car.

My first car was a Volkswagen golf. Did the job and held up like a tank.

My first car was a Mustang, and as of now its in the garage with a lot of saw dust on it with a leaking trans, water pump, and no auxiliary lights.
