Looking for a car

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Yeah, Scion is a product of Toyota, featured to the younger audience. No word on how they hold up because they are so new.

I would bet you are too young to buy a new car because you have no credit and you couldnt afford one anyway, just guessing..

Your best bet would be to go with something cheap right now, save your money, get through school and then buy a good car after that. Cars are a horrible investment and there is no reason to tie a lot of money up into one right now.

Well I am able to afford a new car if I really wanted to. I only goto school part time and have a full time job that gives me a steady income. My credit won't be there since I am younger but my parents said they would sign for me.

I need a good car though, I've had to cars so far an old Firebird when I turned 16 then a Sebring now which is crap and is not even mine.

For around 13 - 15k you can get a new cobalt. They look alright and its small so im guessing its good on gas.

I forgot you guys live in Ohio. With no inspection, what I would do is buy some busted thing for a few hundred and drive it till it dies. Meanwhile figure out the car payment you are comfortable. Drive the busted car for 6 months, and meanwhile make that carpayment to yourself for those 6 months. Then you'll have a nice chunk of change for a downpayment, and will also know if you can afford a new car. Also figure your insurance is basically going to double.

Colbarts are nice.. I was looking at them and put them in my head.

Ron I already did that. Right now I pretty much drive my parents car which they are ok with but I don't have the freedom to go wherever I want in it. But I have saved a shit load. I can/will put half of the car on a down payment.

Insurance I have looked into. It will go up around 25-75 a month depending on what car I get.

How are you paying between $25 and $75 for insurance....

How'd you pull that one off?

If you're looking for around 12 grand, dependable, and good gas...Anything but a Honda or Toyota would probably be a mistake.

It will go up 25-75 a month from what I am currently paying. I wish I could pull off that total.

If at all possible try to stay on your parents insurance it will be cheaper than by yourself. Also you might wanna take a look at light trucks i had one and it was pretty good on gas was pretty dependable and because it was a truck the insurance was cheap. If you don't like how it looks there are tons of add ons for S10s / Sonomas or you can dish out a little more cash and get a sporty looking one.

Not a big truck guy. Everyone wants me to get one (family wise) just because no one has one and they are always to good to have one in the family. I looked into them and I mean if I could get a good deal on one I will look into it but most likely not.

Also yes I am planning on staying on my parents insurance. It is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Don't buy a cobalt. The resale rate on the Cavalier, the car it replaced, is historically awful. No reason why the cobalt won't be the same way.

Mazda 3's are tight, I have one, inexpensive car, sporty. I also went and bought a used Jetta. I'm really getting into VW's now. I bought a 97 Jetta GT 90k for 2500.

The scion tc, is reliable, it has the toyota camry engine in it. 4 cylinder, 160hp.

me personally, in your price range, I would look for a used Jetta.

Honda's are too expensive used, with too many miles.

Dodge Stratus.. Not the first choice of cars but I found a nice 04 at a very decent price. Any way have any word of them?

Get something really cute...

If you get one, people will fear you.

Nevermind I found out the mileage.

Also don't really care what others think of what I drive.
