Huge game tomorrow night (Tues) when Akron visits Ohio. The two hottest teams in MAC play for a shot at a first round bye and quite possibly the #1 seed depending how things fall. Ohio seems to always present a ton of matchup problems for Akron and Ohio is playing way better now than when they walked into Akron and put a beating on the Zips. Should be a good one. Wish I could be in Athens for this one.

Should be a great game. I'd love to say UA will pull out the win, but they'll have to play a great game to win there - very tough road atmosphere for the Zips. It will be interesting though - neither took resembles what they were when they last played. Looking forward to it!

Yeah Bobcats! That was a big time statement win. Akron just matches up horribly with Ohio and it seems they have no way to slow Cooper. Ohio is really clicking right now.

The Zips really may be best served to lose this Friday. Here's why:
Akron losing Friday puts Kent at the #1 seed. The winner of Ball State vs Western Michigan likely gets the #2 seed. It's also likely that Miami will at least one or their last 2, so I'm penciling them in at #3. I think Ohio U beats Buffalo, so I'm penciling them in at #4. The #5 seed would probably be the loser of WM vs BSU. The #6 seed would most likely be Akron's. This is how the bracket might look:
Top Half
8-Bowling Green
9-Central Michigan
Winner plays 1-Kent State
5-Western Michigan or Ball State
12-Toledo
Winner plays 4-Ohio U
Bottom Half
7-Buffalo
10-Northern Illinois
Winner plays 2-Western Michigan or Ball State
6-Akron
11-Eastern Michigan
Winner plays 3-Miami
They'd host Eastern Michigan or Northern Illinois Tuesday, and their toughest matchups - Kent and OU - would be on the other side of the bracket...might be their best chance at winning the tournament.
