Very true...in fact, both Akron and OU would both be doing for the season trifecta against their respective opponents.
One thing I forgot to mention in my previous post. It'll be interesting to see how the new format affects the top seeds. In many years in the MAC, a team simply gets really hot for a week and rides that momentum for 4 games. Although the two top teams got byes into the semis, I don't really see why it would change anything. Akron will have had a full week off by the time they play. Buffalo and Kent will have had six days off. Ohio will have been off for five. Generally those types of layoffs don't play into the hands of the higher seeds.
