Since we can not compare Mike Brown to the all the coaches in the history of the NBA, just the ones available now, who are 2-3 coaches you feel would have been far and away better selection?

When my lease is up at the end of June, I know there's an open spot at an apartment complex I lived before. It was an okay place to live, but it wasn't great. Sure, I could easily get another unit there, but why wouldn't I shop around a bit and check out some other places to live, do my due diligence and whatnot?

What's Grant's rush? Is he worried that someone other team will snag Brown? Do they really like him? Does he already know that Shaw or Malone wouldn't fit the team?

Probably.

The FO probably looked at the pool of coaches available and made a decision: do we want a "retread" coach or do we want someone who has no HC experience? They decided they wanted a "retread", looked at available "retreads" and saw that MB was the best choice.

This isn't their first walk in the park, they've dealth with Mike Malone before, they already know enough about him...and they interviewed Shaw already.

Yeah it would have been nice to kick some more tires but there was the risk of losing MB to Philly, ATL, etc.

Question for those against Brown:

If he wasn't already here once & had his coaching history elsewhere, what would you think of him as a candidate?

My guess: "As long as he comes in with a top offensive assistant, I'd be fine with it"

First off, that sucked that I just wrote a few paragraph answer to this in the other thread, only to find out it was closed.

Basically all it said (in many more words), is that I was not 100% against him, but I could not be objective after I followed him so close and remembering how much his in-game adjustments sucked and pissed me off. Had he not coached the cavs, I doubt I would have realized this as much.

As for the new news? I guess we have to suck it up and hope he has learned...
