Something tells me that LBJ would not go along with trading Miller. Maybe it shouldn't be like that, but i think that's the reality

Griffin can't let Lebron hijack the franchise. If Lebron is gonna be all pissy and leave because we trade for a better player then let him tbh.

Gilbert/Griffin/Blatt/Cleveland want to win and they all understand it will be pretty much on LBJ's terms.
Currently, there is no other way. They should try to convince LeBron when he's wrong, but if he puts his foot down, they really have no choice.

Lebron can hijack anything he wants including @The Oi 's family.

Really glad Mike opted in. No doubt the second year stipulation that would require him to also join the Cavalier girls during their timeout performances was the sweetener in this deal. No way was he ever going to remain just the leader of the perma-bench cheerleading/towel-waving army without any added incentive.

Apparently he's already been practicing the next phase of his C[heer]LEading evolution:

If Miller is the 14th or 15th guy on the roster, who really cares? Essentially like having another coach and a guy that can help some of our young guys through certain game situations. Miller will rarely see the court. Basically we'd be looking at him or another vet min guy / roster filler type. Might as well have him along for the ride I guess. Plus, he can always be LeBron's designated "cramp" rubber.

Who knows what he does. It's like guessing at how much Lue is involved.

Why would you not want a player over having a player? Guys get injured and the playoffs present match ups and strategy that benefits from having more ammunition than less.

No brainer

His legs have never looked better. :chuckle:

His hair is looking better than ever and sources say he has a towel the Lakers are trying to si.. get from him. However LeBron wants the towel back yet he and the towel might wait till our fans suffer through this not as bad yet somewhat crazy off season. We have a Dwayne Wade Safari ffs. However yeah nice legs hes has.

He needs to grow the hair out.

On a podcast yesterday with Nick Freidell, Dave McMenamin said that Mike Miller was incredibly important last season as sort of a bridge between LeBron and Love, because both guys loved him and are close to him. He said that Miller being back next year is very important from a locker room standpoint and is a guy that Love really gets along with.

Remember Miller giving TT a proper dressing down when Perk set a hard screen for Delly and TT didn't warn Delly about it? Miller is the "glue guy" and you need players like that in a young inexperienced locker room like ours'. Also, its not like he is lazy when he plays. He tries. Just that he has totally fallen off the cliff. I still hope for that one match in playoffs he loses his shit and wins the game, before he retires.

Curious if you guys think trading Miller is an option. I mean I can't blame him for opting in but based on last year, it seems like he will have virtually no role this year unless there are a slew of injuries. Would we really have retained his services for this year if we weren't forced to by him opting in? Would almost make more sense to hire him as a shooting coach or something. He had a good role for us last year, just not sure about this year.

I've been reading a lot of background on Miller the last couple days. Apparently anywhere he goes, he's always everyone's favorite teammate. I'm not a guy that usually puts much weight on things like "locker room impact", but in Miller's case it really does seem quite substantial. He was the only guy on our team last year who could simultaneously connect to our stars, other veterans, young guys, and our entire coaching staff. He basically served as the glue that kept everyone in harmony.

Even though his playing days are nearly over, I'd be surprised if he doesn't get some kind of coaching job in the next couple years. He seems like the kind of guy players would run through walls for.
