Minor League Games - 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Looking at the ACL roster, pitching is a complete mystery to me. Zibin is the clear pedigree pick, outside of that? The Cuban guys. We spent a decent chunk of change on those two guys, and they're "older" so if things go the way they're supposed to... They'll put up some numbers.

IF: Francisca is the big prospect, likely the most hype prospect on the entire roster. You could've even seen him break camp with Lynchburg if there weren't a couple other guys trying to take their claim.

C: Izturis is the main course here. It would be nice to see the organization homegrow another legit C prospect, it has been awhile.

OF: Pirela is a 6'3" power hitter. He could go off. As of now he is my favorite breakout candidate at the plate in the ACL.

Zibin isn't pitching at ACL its Zinn...

There are some noteworthy pitchers this year. LHP Flores is one of the Cuban arms they signed. Edelvis Perez is missing, hopefully not an injury. Virguez got some love from FG for throwing upper 90s. Both Hernandez' are decent SP prospects, as is still Aldeano. Bresnahan, Zinn, Santos the draftees. Decent group for a change.

The main value is on the hitting side though. The strong DSL group of 2023 plus some 22 leftovers who performed. Riebok was an interesting JuCo draftee that should be in Lynchburg.

Edit: BOTH Cuban IFAs are not on that rookie ball roster. Luis Flores was a 2021 IFA signing. Miguel Flores is the Cuban pitcher.

So...did Angel Martinez just die? What's going on?

He injured his foot, then when he came back he got hit by a pitch and broke his hamate bone. Luckily it's not in his throwing hand, but it does put in doubt his MLB debut in 24...

I feel like he's probably more frustrated than anyone since he had a good spring, injured his foot at the end of it and like a game or two back at AAA, he got hit... Just how some seasons work, I guess...

Hamate Bone is pretty much the worst case for hitters, as it takes more than a year to fully recover, so this is a lost year+ for him. Basically the equivalent to TJ

Schneeman with his 7th bomb and it was off of a lefty.

Tugboat's day is done. Not as dominant as his last (duh) but still quite good.

76 pitches 48 strikes and a wild pitch. Both hits were singles, one was an infield hit.

5IP 2H 0R/0ER 3BB 5K.

Next start as a Captain?

Wait, isnt he already a Captain of a tugboat?

George Valera cracks his first homer of 2024, scoring Johnathan Rodriguez in the 8th...

Gose touching 98, hitting 96+ regularly...

Gose always had the arm, command was the issuee...

Valera is coming for Florial's job...
