It's too bad he hasn't been able to take that next step as his option(s) run out... He is still only 22 so I still like his chances to make it to the show someday, seems like that may happen somewhere else though.

I am looking forward to purchasing his MLB jersey whenever and wherever that happens. Just enjoyed watching him play (and smile) at Lake County. Always hoping to see him unleash that unbelievable power he has.

Vintage Jhonkensy today - goes 0-4, 3Ks, and then hits a 3R HR with 2 out in the 10th to win the game.
Another crazy note from the game - Zapata has ERA of 8+ at Lake County, gets promoted to Columbus and throws 3 scoreless innings to get the win

Lake County sure looks like a lot better team than they did (on paper) before the start of the season. Several guys have had very nice performances so far. Here are a few from Game 1 today.
Nate Furman - had a 2 homer game. He hit zero last year, and one earlier this year. If he actually has power he can tap into? Never thought it possible
C.J Kayfus - nothing major here except he has now homered in 3 straight games
Guy Lipscomb - 2 doubles and is playing very well. His days as a part-timer appear to be over.
Trenton Denholm - CG shutout. Sure it was 7 innings 2H 0R/0ER 1BB 9K on 85 pitches, 64 strikes. Either Denholm or Peterson to Akron makes way too much sense.
