Minor League Opening Night 5/4/21 (& 1st week games)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
More news from Indians Prospective Twitter:

Note: MiLB website already has Akron postponed tomorrow for inclement weather. Doesn't look good for Columbus or Lake County either. Lynchburg should be fine.

#Indians MiLB affiliate starters for Sunday
Columbus - LHP Kirk McCarty
Akron - PPD
Lake County - RHP Mason Hickman (Pro-Debut)
Lynchburg - RHP Lenny Torres Jr.
------------------------------------------

MT88 Note: With Hickman & Torres getting starts, it appears High A & Low A are going with 6 man rotations. Kirk McCarty would be getting his 2nd start of the season (both in this series vs Louisville) so Columbus appears to be 5 man at this point. No way of knowing Akron yet (postponement & starter not announced).

Sunday Updates..

Columbus was indeed postponed.

Lake County lost to Lansing 5-2.

Lynchburg continues to roll, winning again 8-4.

I would classify the starts of Hickman and Torres as struggles but neither was a disaster.

CLE affiliates go 18-4 in week 1.
-----------------------------------
Full standings (in a new thread) will be posted on Monday but CLE will have the top spot.

NY Yanks are close at 18-6 during week 1. Texas & Baltimore had good showing as well.

The basement belongs to Washington.. 3-21 during week 1. St. Louis & Colorado with very poor showings as well.

Looking at the Hillcats batting averages....they look like the averages that would be posted for a really good beer league softball team.
