Myles Garrett : NFL 2023 DPOY

I got bored and watch some super bowl highlights out of curiousity.

The one thing I really noticed (And it's more of a "duh" sort of thing) is how important it is to have a good pass rush is in the NFL.

This isn't something you pick up on as a fan watching the game, but you could kinda notice that which ever team found a way to rush the passer, find creative packages, etc? They really were on the winning side of things.

I think about the only thing that would be more important to being a legitimate franchise quarterback. (something we, at the moment? Do not have). But man...it does feel like if Garrett is as advertised? That's a major puzzle piece to have been found.

All anyone needs to know is this picture right here! 6'4 and what 270+ lbs with 4.6 speed and looks like that. Ladies look at that perfection!
 
This guy is already demanding double teams and still getting into the backfield on a consistent basis. Almost came away with a sack too. He is an athletic freak. When is the last time we saw a D-lineman chasing down RB's downfield while keeping pace with them? He cuts through his own guys so effortlessly.

Tank Carder has no place on this, or any other football team.

Really hard to pay attention to Myles as Tank blows a tackle so bad. Has to be frustrating taking on two o-line man to set up a linebacker who cant wrap up.

Joe the Show better be starting at middle linebacker against the Giants... that's all I can say. Sure, reward a veteran special teams player by letting him run with the ones for a while... cool. That reward time is now gone.

Start Alexander Dominique and move Kirksey back to MLB.

When we go nickel take out Dominique and move Kirksey to OLB.

Its another very solid option.

Or just scrap the whole 3 LB thing all together and just run a 4-2 with peppers as the extra LB/safety

Eventually we will see nickel packages more than 3 linebackers, but still need to find that 3rd linebacker for the 4-3 package.

Sad thing about this play is that Carder does EVERYTHING properly leading up to the tackle.

Avoids the first block, fills the gap while taking on the second block, meets the runner head on. That's gotta be a 1-yard gain.
