NBA 2K17

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I got the game yesterday for PS4 and have been playing a bit online... Brief thoughts:

1) Thunder are really easy to play with on defense. Russ, Oladipo, Roberson, Payne, and Morrow are all really good at getting steals, which is something that is now important in the new meta-game. Moreover, Adams covers for aggressive defensive mistakes.

2) Guys like Kyrie, Westbrook, and Wall can penetrate just as easy off of screens as they can in real life. I thought this was a HUGE improvement compared to other games.

3) LeBron is too slow and poor at driving.

4) I really like the new playbooks. Much more realistic.
Come to the park and look me up.

The new dribbling controls really seem to favor guard play, which is fine with me. Irving can basically dribble around anyone with the right string of moves. In my first game online playing against GS, he poured in 37, with 12 of those coming at the line.

LBJ does seem a step slower but if you play him at the 4, you should have a mismatch in just about every game.

The patch pretty much killed the ankle breaker badge so play makers and shot creators aren't as good.
Sharp shooters are still op as hell. You shouldn't be able to run to half court and chuck 3s at the rate they do. This more than anything needs to be balanced.
Along with the patch came a glitch with the contacts on mycareer just a heads up. If you schedule an out with some one, it might not show up on the calendar. Which is important if you're waiting for that coach K outing in December.

Right now I'm sitting at a 88 rating, trying to grind my cap before I hit the park hard.

92 Stretch Big
Got my limitless range, pick and popper, and catch and shoot badges gold (catch and shoot is now hall of fame)
Also got some weird red upgrade that apparently makes me "on fire" after making a couple shots.

I've got a few friends that play Park if you ever want to.

Yea for sure. I'm just grinding badges right now but I'm down.
I'll add you, most of my friends either got it on pc or play offline.

So now that we're deep into the release, can somebody sell me on this game? I was massively disappointed last year and swore off pre-ordering or buying on launch unless they made a massive improvement.

Does MyCareer feel better? Is it developed so that the game doesn't practically end after the first season?

How garbage does your player start off? Can you be a functional player like the older games, or are you a d-leaguer like last season? How much cash would I need to drop to be decent in the park?

Is any form of MyPlayer 5v5 still in the game?

Online league was touted as being fully fledged out this season. Can anyone confirm?

Have they done ANYTHIHG about the level of input lag online that's been in the game since it came out?

Looks like @SuperSurge has been putting in work in MyPark. Whats your rank & record?
I am a 95 overall now (stretch big)
I'm an all-star 1 (76 percent to level 2)
My limitless range and catch and shoot badges are Hall of Fame level. I have the red pro badge, and when that lights up I'm pretty money from anywhere inside half court in the 3 on 3.

My Park record is like 146-81.

Stretch big was the route I should have gone. My two other friends that play wanted to be a PG & C, so I figured go in between. How many attribute upgrades do you unlock from mycareer? Im typically a myteam guy and was told that X number of attributes come from career & so many come from park.

All I've done is MyCareer and MyPark.

I got a gift card with the game so I maxed my guy out right away at an 86 rating. After that, you have to earn attribute cap upgrades. To get the upgrades, you have to fill the "Doin Work" meter by doing practices in career.

It takes 7 or 8 practices to fill up that bar, but you have to play the games in career or you can't do the practices. It takes 3 attribute upgrades to boost your overall by 1.

So yeah it takes some time to build yourself up. Lol

Plus you have marketing appearances that make you miss practices.

I've played every game and done every practice I can and I'm almost at the All-Star game.

Ive been doing the vertical jump test to get more attributes, but wasnt sure if that was the only way to unlock them.

Do you happen to know how many attributes you get?

I'm not sure how many total upgrades you get, but there is a hard cap on each skill depending on what type of player you made.

I also do the vertical jump every practice because it only takes 2 times to fill the meter.
