Well, this should put to rest the talk of Len being a better post defender than Noel:

In other news, I never want to see Kelly Olynyk wear a Cavs jersey.

EDIT: Also, Adams. Dayum. If we pass on Noel for whatever reason we better make a strong push to get that kid.
I love the enthusiasm for Noel and it's cool to think that we would have a talented PF/C combo that only comes around once in awhile. Without the injuries and the ensuing health hurdles he would have to endure (weight, strength), he would be a perfect fit who obviously is the most gifted in this draft.
With that said, you can't put much stock into press releasing's that implicate doctors are clearing him including our own. If there was any concern it wouldn't be public knowledge and you just can't invest emotion in that kind of talk on this scale. You have team doctors, you have team beat reporters who are spoon fed information to relay to the public to the benefit of the organization. Noel is a huge risk no matter the circumstances.
I think the only way we draft Noel is if we make a deal with Dallas for their 13th in which we can hedge our bet and add another solid piece in place of a project (health wise) in Noel. Even that is 50/50 to me. We could move up to 13 and still not take Noel. My hope is we find a trade but that takes as much luck as getting the 1st pick this year.
Kyrie was drafted with injury but his injury was not nearly as significant as an ACL or growth plate injury. I think the Cav's are well aware of this as well as the fact that this game is much more athletically driven and knee problems cause significant drop in production.
Sullinger wad red flagged and that was public knowledge before the draft...

I didn't realize a complete lack of competitive nature could be red flagged. :chuckles:Same with Perry Jones

He wasn't even invited to the draft.
Noel may be cleared (albeit spoken from himself) but that doesn't equate to an organizations approval. Penny Hardaway was also red flagged but picked up at #3 in 93. He went on to only have a semi successful career plagued by injuries.
I think the Cavs want something sustainable and there's a poor chance of sustainability with Noel.
