So, Cody Zeller is a better post defender than gorgui Deng? These number don't make much sense.

I agree steven adams, and Len will likely be good post defenders, but I think it's a stretch to think Noel has the body to defend nba centers. I also think Cody Zeller is overrated by the metric. He's not going to defend nba centers either.

This metric is the average amount of points each player gave up when defending a player in a post up situation as well as the field goal % oppents shot in those same situations.

It is similar to the points per shot, points per iso, ect... for offensive players

A good-looking graphic:

Now that I think about it, this might be the most ethnically diverse class of centers ever between Noel, Len, Adams, Dieng, Noguiera, Gobert and Olynyk.

Haitian, Ukranian, Kiwi/New Zealand, Senegal, Brasil, France, Canada.

Damn you're right. No asians doe.

Interview with Noel, he discusses when he expects to make his NBA debut:

When he was asked about Cleveland in that interview, his body language totally shifted. He was focused on answering the questions, and when the Cleveland question came up, he touched his face and his nose. It was the only question where he actually physically changed how he answered questions. :detective

Well if we learned anything from Seinfeld we know that touching his face is a tell. He probably has been told if we pick at 1 he will be a Cav.

If Barkevious Mingo wearing Orange and Brown on draft night was any indicator, look out for any prospect wearing Wine and Gold tomorrow.

I would be ok with Len but I was really getting attached to this kid

Somebody might want to teach MSB how to work an iPhone...

At least Nerlens didn't pick it up, must've seen what happened to the last guy who did that during a presser...

:chuckles:

I like Noel as much as the next guy, and think he should and will be the #1 pick, but there is something about him that is really scaring the Cavs away if they are trying to deal the pick so bad.

He is 3-4 years away from really being able to help beyond just garbage man stuff.

If we were in year 1 of the rebuild I think they take him no problem and deal with the growing pains.

They want to start winning now, and taking a guy who is a developmental project is tough to do.

He might be better 4-5 years from now than someone we take, but if we sacrifice another 2-3 years being mediocre waiting for him to come along it is not worth it.

Kyrie at this point is likely ready to get the show going, and is not going to want to hear that we might have to keep waiting a little while longer waiting to get Noel at his optimal level.

The timing is just not right for Noel and where we are in the rebuild process. People on this board are too worried about 5-6 years from now because by then we will be having to get rid of guys for salary reasons anyway.
