New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Better Call Saul is awesome IMO. My third favorite show after GoT and Westworld that's currently airing.

Just watched the Showtime documentary on the Baylor basketball scandal. God that was fucked up. And Baylor remains fucked up.

That stupid Pepsi protest commercial reminded me of the end of Mad Men and now I want to rewatch that series.

There are so many good shows out there...why is it that I keep wanting to watch the same ones over again? Anyone else do that?

I watch The Sopranos every year. It's incredible the things I forgot or missed the first 4x around.

But I'm also enjoying Feud right now.

Dimension 404 so far seems like a fine addition to the twilight zone tradition.
Quality character actors. Entertaining scripts by up and coming dez dolly.

Perhaps Rocketjump should of let Dez write their scripts. but it was smart of him to save his stuff for his own show.

the first episode Matchmaker features Robert buckley (Izombie) and is kinda campy

the 2nd episode (Cinethrax) has Patrick Oswalt ( most recently Agents of Shield) and Sarah Hyland ( Modern Family) and is more like a tales from the crypt twisted ended.

The 3rd episode. (Chronis Features Ashley Rickards (Awkward) and is the first episode where Robert Buckley and Joel McHale (The Great Indoors) become recurring characters.

Its a fun show not to be taken seriously.

American Playboy is an Amazon series on Prime.

A pretty interesting show on the rise of Hugh Hefner and Playboy.

I watch The Wire basically once a year. Just finished a re-watch of Breaking Bad with the girlfriend too.

Premieres next Sunday, hombre.

All i've read regarding season 3 is that it somehow tops last season. Can't wait.

Shit! I thought Better Call Saul started last night...now I gotta wait until tonight!

I'm eight episodes in to Iron Fist and I think I've figured out the main problem with this show. It just does nothing to stand out from the other Marvel Netflix shows. Daredevil stood out with its fantastic martial arts action scenes (still by far the best from the Marvel shows) and the enjoyable relationship between Foggy and Matt. Jessica Jones stood out by tackling real world issues like rape and consent and the impact they can have on people, and with its female lead who was a total mess of a person. Luke Cage stood out with its primarily black cast, great music, and constant homages to blaxploitation flicks.

Iron Fist just doesn't really do anything to stand out. It's got a generic main character who isn't convincing as a martial arts master. The supporting characters are largely boring. The action scenes are, at best, fine, but do little to wow you. There was opportunity to cheese it up a bit and pay homage to classic martial arts flicks, but the show ignores that in favor of heavy-handed melodrama which falls flat because none of the characters are particularly interesting. It feels like a paint-by-number superhero show.

I did enjoy the ending of episode seven, though. It shook things up a bit.

I've seen the Sopranos through probably at least 15 times. I've also re-watched the Twin Peaks about 8 times. Those are my two favorite TV shows all-time.

Better Call Saul (April 10)
Leftovers (April 16)
Fargo (April 19)
American Gods (April 30)

3 amazing shows and one great book being made into a show.

April has some great viewing.

rewatching Prison Break from Episode 1 right now to see if I can get back into it since it starts tonight. I remember I watched Season 1 and liked it and forget why I stopped.

Let's see if it's different.
