New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
really? I made it about half way through the first episode before I turned it off. I guess it got better from there?

I don't recall how good the first episode was, but the series overall was enjoyable to me. I'd suggest powering through a few episodes and seeing if it's for you. I find that, with most comedies, you need to give them at least three or four episodes to develop, because it's incredibly rare for a comedy to have a knock-out pilot.

Can someone please explain what the hell is going on in Westworld? I legitimately have no idea.

Went to Google to find out and these were the headlines I got:

Am I watching Westworld wrong?

Maybe this Westworld season finale will clear everything up, but we doubt it

Sounds like everyone is in the same boat.

Lol, I watched the 1st season and it was okay, nothing special for me personally.

Then I read the reviews of the 2nd season and decided to just skip it all together.

Was literally coming in here to ask if I should watch Westworld season 2.

Season 1 was solid, but I never got the major hype surrounding it.

I'll probably still watch, but expectations are low.

Season 1 was overrated. It was good but it is nowhere near like, breaking bad,, to which some people were actually comparing it

Yep.

Enjoyed Season 1...nothing spectacular. Haven't bothered with Season 2.

I too agree that the show was always overrated. I liked it but not nearly to the level that many did.

Season 2 has just been really odd.

Couple seasons into mad Men.

Lots of filler. Some really good episodes

I'm watching this right now as well. I'm 5 eps into season 4. I'm a fan.

I try not to think about how many cigarettes they go through on the show and if they are or are not inhaling, but damn, do they smoke a lot.

Well, Breaking Bad was nowhere near the Breaking Bad we reference as a GOAT show at the end of season one. But like Westworld, it had a strong first season with a promising hook to keep you interested.

I haven't watched season two of Westworld yet, though, so I can't comment on the quality of it. Was waiting until the whole season was out so I can binge it, as I think the first season was a lot better when binged as well. Too easy to forget little details from week to week.

The wife and I both never watched one episode of "Lost". Binging and think we are now on season 3. Pretty fun show, a lot of curveballs, very rediculous at times but I like that.

Also helps me watch with Evangeline Lilly. Damn is she fine.

CBS is bringing back Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Sir Paddy Stew has signed on. @gourimoko

I wonder how they'll make this all work.. I mean, Patrick Stewart is 77 years old. Perhaps in the 24th century that isn't an issue, and that's a feasible position to take. I also think they can make him look younger and if he's in shape enough for the part, it might work.

But I just wonder what his role would be? Surely he's not going to be a captain, right? Perhaps an Admiral with his own ship? That works... Will they bring back members of the old show? Will Brent Spiner be back as an aging B4? LeVar Burton? Gates McFadden?

I would imagine Marina Sirtis and Jonathan Frakes would be down but... they were off doing their own thing on the Titan, but even then Riker should be beyond that stage in his career. It wouldn't make sense for a 65 year old Riker to still be just a captain would it? Maybe he's a commodore at this point? Maybe that's how he and Picard can end up on the same ship, because Riker doesn't have a command of his own? ... or maybe they just don't redo that dynamic in the new show.

I wouldn't mind some CG facial-reconstruction for Data using a different actor with Spiner's younger face smeared over him on some Tron/Rogue One type shit. That would be dope, and Spiner still has the voice for the part.
