News, Articles, and Random Stuff about LeBron

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Ultimately most people are loyal to their own ideas, likes/dislikes etc.. before that of their friends. LeBron's loyalty like most peoples is likely weighted..i.e being loyal to family > being loyal to fans...being loyal to self > being loyal to D. Gilbert etc.... The mistaken idea that a LOYAL guy would have stayed in Cleveland and since James didnt he's not a loyal person is hilarious.

Not sure why you're responding to my post. I don't care about the argument if he's loyal or not because it doesn't matter. I'm just saying that futurist' "example" is inherently flawed because of the facts surrounding what happened.

One reason I don't care about the "is he a loyal person" argument is because it doesn't matter, loyalty isn't even necessarily a good trait(especially if you want to talk about it in the context of LeBron, the way he approaches loyalty is an AWFUL trait, but that's a new argument all together).

(By the way, if Savannah Brinson read the last two pages of this thread she'd be pointing at jay_em and futurist laughing her ass off)

LeBron is an idiot. A guy who can't lead a team on his own. He's a lemming. So yes, LBJ was loyal to himself. And no, he was not loyal to family, his girl (whom he should make a wife) wanted him to stay in Ohio. So stop trying to be loyal his nuts.
I'm pretty sure a guy with back to back MVP's is fully capable of leading his own team anywhere they are capable of following. Stick MJ on the 90's era Clippers and those 6 rings disappear. TEAMS win titles so spare me that fluff about him not being able to bla bla bla bla.

with regard Savannah from her mouth to your ears/eyes:
"Personally, Miami was not my favorite place. Vacationing there is great: You go for three days and get some sun, and it's time to go home," she explains. But the weather helped win her over. "When they told me it doesn't get any colder than 50 degrees, that sold me. We get below-zero weather in Cleveland. ... I can't wait to have a sunny Christmas," she says. "It will definitely be an adjustment, but we'll make it. We're not complaining."

Sounds like she's just fine with his choice.

Gotta keep it real bruh....sorry if it offends you.

Gotta keep tickling LeBron's balls bruh....sorry if it offends you.

*fixed*

In all seriousness though, I congratulate you for taking my point out of context, once again(you Lepologists are masters at this).

Savannah would be laughing at the idea of LeBron James being a loyal person, not because she disagreed with his decision to go to Miami, but because of his tendency to cheat on her regularly. (Though, maybe she's still on the same level of denial that many of us were this summer during the entire free agency debacle before July 8th)

By all means if I took your point (assuming you had one as Lettacker of all things lebron [see i can play the juvenile name game too] please excuse me. I was just pointing out a mistake in peoples thought process regarding the concept of loyalty....anyone's loyalty.

oh by the way kudos on the "ball tickling FIFY"..it was so original and funny:chuckles:

In case you didn't get it, the "In all seriousness" line means I didn't actually try to use the *fixed* quip as a legitimate insult.

The thing about Kevin Durant that keeps people so fascinated, other than the scoring and general awesomeness at basketball, is his almost-too-good-to-be-true attitude. He always plays the humble card, always thanks teammates and always says the right thing, even when he doesn't have to.

The latest example: LeBron James was having a party in Kansas City at The Midland, a theater downtown. Durant was invited but politely declined the offer. "I don't go out to parties the day before a game," Durant told The Oklahoman. "I really don't go out too much during the season."

This guy, Durant. It's preseason. The game doesn't matter. Durant probably won't even play more than 20 minutes. Yet he's not going out to a party. It wasn't a shot at LeBron, it's just how KD operates.

It kind of reminds me of the movie Three Amigos where the amigos are talking about what they're going to do with the money they're about to earn. Steve Martin's character talks about getting a big, shiny car. Chevy Chase says he wants to see the world. Martin Short, on the other hand, says he wants to start a shelter for underprivileged children. The other two immediately say, "Oh yeah, I meant after I do that, I'll buy a car." I feel like LeBron didn't really consider the fact that he's throwing a big party the day before a game. Now that KD says it, I wonder if he thought, "Oh. Yeah, me either. I don't party before games either."

This isn't to imply LeBron did a bad thing. I mean come on, it's a meaningless exhibition game and LeBron is a super famous person that can do these type of things. We don't know if LeBron only showed up to the party for 10 minutes and was in bed by 11 p.m. So it's not fair to use this as another "Durant is the anti-LeBron" thing. But still, Durant turning down the offer is just another example why people are so enamored with KD.

LeBron and KD are going to be connected in these type of circumstances for a while. As much as Durant tries to downplay it and say things like, "LeBron is a better person than basketball player," it's fun to paint it as a good guy versus bad guy thing. And it's not hard to make Durant into the white knight.

Most think when Durant talks about his affinity for Oklahoma City, it's just lip service. He's saying what the fans want to hear when he says how much he likes it and how it fits his personality. But it's truth. OKC is a laid back, calm, quiet place where people aren't really throwing blowout parties on a Thursday night. The temptations for distraction aren't really there in Oklahoma City. Some see that as a bad thing, but for a guy like Durant that fits right in with the city, it's a perfect match.

I was going to post another article about this and talk about how awesome this was, but in the same story, he talked about how Lebron was only doing what was best for his family so people shouldn't hate him. That ruined it for me even though I know the kid is a class act and wouldn't ever say anything bad about anyone.

LeBron supporter
Durant admits he is puzzled at certain people's animosity toward LeBron James since he decided to sign with Miami.
"A lot of people really don't get to see what kind of person he is," Durant said of James. "He was trying to look out for himself, his family and trying to make the right decision for his family. You can't blame a man for that, no matter what you do, (whether it's) playing basketball or being a teacher. People with different professions leave their jobs all the time for better places. So you can't judge him for what he did. He's just looking out for himself."
No party animal

Durant was invited but politely declined.
"I don't go out to parties the day before a game," Durant said. "I really don't go out too much during the season."

``.......Everybody in the media tries to twist things up and say I'm the anti-LeBron,'' Durant said before Friday's neutral site game at the Sprint Center. ``We're two basketball players who love the game. We have the same mind-set, just trying to get better every day. The way [James] handles his business and the way I handle my business shouldn't be criticized or overpublished, I think.''

Well, that's just it - Durant is so class that he won't say anything, and he means when he says people shouldn't hate James for what he did. But his actions do speak for itself. He may not want to be viewed this way, but he is the anti-LeBron at this point.

Durant should take some time out of his day to ask James where Savannah, LeBron Jr., and Bryce will be spending their winter.

It's too bad that he took the night to stay in and still got beat by party central, the Heat. Pretty handily too.

People spend too much time looking for the "anti-lebron". How about just his biggest rival? Kobe. Kobe is going to be the guy with the best shot to deny him what he wants. Durant is largely irrelevant to what Lebron is doing.

Durant is not irrelevant in denying Lebron the MVP. And Lebron wants his MVP's.

Finals MVPs, yes. Regular season MVPs he's already got those. Though I suspect it's going to be impossible for Durant to win the MVP this year with a team that may not have home court advantage in it's own conference. Usually they give the MVP to the best player on the best team, so if they refuse to give it to Lebron, Kobe or Dwight will win it I think.

But I think Lebron will still win it. Look at how he's playing with them now. He runs that team, and with Wade being so injury prone, he'll probably have plenty of time to shine with just Bosh there.

Crazy annoying thing is I think if the Cavs had just gotten Bosh and Mike Miller on the Cavs, Lebron could have won a title there. He doesn't need DWade to win a title. He needs DWade to be one of the best teams ever. Which maybe that's his goal--but it's disapointing how close the Cavs were, if he had just stuck it through.

Byron Scott as coach with Miller and Bosh in Cleveland would have been a title team. Believe that. IMO Lebron took a title away from Cleveland by going to Miami. Which is strange, vindictive, weird, and disapointing.
