I just decided to make this thread because there arent individual game threads like the cavs. So just talk about the games in here.

I cant wait to see what Carmona brings in his first start this season. Lee's first outing sucked pretty bad and we could use a solid performance from Fausto tonight.

Millwood shut down our offense last game. We need to get it rolling tonight.

Fausto on the hill tonight... I'm expecting big things out of him this year. Hopefully I'm not jinxing him. :scared:

Fausto will lock it down tonight guys, don't even worry. Just hope the lineup can um, score runs.

Im not holding my breath. We have 0 offense.

I'll bet you right now the Indians finish in the top 5 of major league baseball in runs scored.

One game does not a season make.

Yeah, I know. Just like last year. But it was only one game, let's hope they wake up.

Indians were 7th in the majors in runs scored last year so I don't know where you're getting this "no offense" nonsense.

Texas' lineup is extremely good.

We should be able to light up their pitchers tonight though.

Oh well, hopefully I'll flip them on during Cavs' commercials.

I was referring to the first three months of last year where the pitching was lights out yet the offense was so painfully bad that we had people sent down to the minors and hitting coaches under fire and lost games 1-0, 2-1, 5-2, etc.

I'm sure you remember. Don't play dumb, you knew what I was talking about.

Once we're out of contention and the pressure's off. :D

I'm not worried about Lee, but I'm always worried about the offense. Most of our guys can't hit with two strikes, and can only hit fastballs. The offense as a whole is so streaky, which is why I worry. I wouldn't be surprised if we finished top 5 in runs scored. I'm not a fan of giving young guys (Shoppach/Garko/Cabrera) spot time. IMO, Garko needs to play everyday, Victor needs to catch almost everyday, and Hafner needs to go.

Hahaha, you are exactly right. Watch the Tribe fall behind by 14 games and then they'll "turn it on" and have a great 2nd half of the season and get back to .500 and everyone will be "ooooh" and "aaaahhhh"-ing at the amazing managing job by Eric Wedge.

If we stay healthy, how does Grady, DeRosa, Victor, Perlata, (healthy) Hafner, Shoppach, Choo equal no offense?

  • Garko needs to go to the minors and stay there, he is garbage.
  • Victor needs to be our 1st basemen, his arm is weak and he won't need as much rest as a first basemen keeping one of our best hitters in the lineup.
  • Shoppach has a great arm behind the plate, a helluva a lot better than Victor, and he was one of the top hitters in the league after he took over the starting hitting spot for Victor when he got hurt.

Choo is not a proven commodity yet, but I have high hopes for him.

And Hafner is said to be fully healthy, that isn't his issue. He needs his timing back. Till then he is not an offensive force either.

When Choo got PT last season he showed he was proven in my opinion, and without him in the WBC I don't think Korea goes to the final.

Korea didnt win, but yes Choo was clutch in the WBC.

I need to see a full season of it before I am on the Choo wagon
