*Offical Cleveland Indians Game Discussion*

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thank god this season is over. I can't wait to say that for the football season too.

Just 2 years ago the Tribe were about to play the Yanks and the Browns were 2-2 and looking good. :(

2007 was the best year of my life.

No, really.

The sports teams were FLYIN HIGH, I graduated high school, and it seemed like everything in my life was going perfectly as a result. Ever since then, the sports teams have gone to shit, and so has everything else.

:chuckles:

Same story here. Senior year in 07, graduated, Cavs in Finals, Tribe in playoffs, Browns 10-6.

If it wasn't for the Cavs right now, well..... it would just completely suck.

I remember a 3 or 4 day span.... went to the Q watch party for Game 5 when LBJ had his best game ever. Insane.

A night or 2 later, went to an Indians vs Tigers game.... Down 4 or 5 in the 9th inning and Dellucci hits a game winning single up the middle. Crazy.

Next night. At Game 6, going to the NBA Finals. Awesome.

It couldn't get much better than that.

Now, I just feel like punching someone. I don't even want to think about it, but if LeBron leaves, has Cleveland sports ever been at a lower point? Browns and Tribe can't get worse and the Cavs would go back to being a joke instantly.

My whole fanhood could really be resting on LBJ's shoulders. If he leaves, I just don't know if I could deal with it anymore.

Thankfully, it likely won't come to that. I shudder to think if it did.

But yeah, no joke man. 2007 was an incredible year and I wasn't kidding when I said that as my sports teams go, so goes my life, it seems. If they're doing well it seems everything in my life is doing great i.e. in 2007. This is a sports forum so I won't go into detail, but believe me...things were going well.

On the sports side, it was just an amazing year too. You don't need me to tell you about it, but my most VIVID memories were of the Indians playoff run because I grew up on the Tribe, as a little kid I was Omar Vizquel for Halloween :chuckles: and seeing them back in the postseason making a run at the WS was like everything come full circle, you know? I remember Hafner's walk off single in Game 2 of the ALDS, one of the most amazing Tribe games I ever witnessed. WOW. And Peralta with his 3 run bombs vs the Red Sox, the "Heaven in Eleven" game 2 of the ALCS @ Fenway where Gutierrez hit that moonshot over the Green Monster to cap off a huge 7 run inning to beat the Sox.

Woooah...I get goosebumps. Incredible Browns season too, and the Cavs in the Finals was just nuts (but we all knew they couldn't beat the Spurs) but the Indians that year are what really made it.

Since then...my life= :thumbdown and my sports teams= :thumbdown

Yikes. :(
