I know most of you are familiar with the Kent State shootings back in 1970s. Well, they are filming a movie about that. Not much info about the movie yet, lets see what comes of it.

"ohio" Movie Cast: Zac, Justin And Robert Zac Efron, and Justin Timberlake are each being courted for major roles in Ohio, an upcoming film based on the 1970 murders of anti-Vietnam War protesters at Kent State University.
Pretty cool, lets hope the actors they picked dont fuck it up.

I heard something about this last year hopefully they'll do justice to the situation

Don't think otherwise, the title "Ohio" was chosen because Hollywood thinks of it in a negative sense. Kent State shootings = Ohio = Middle America to them.

Also,
I know most of you are similar with the Kent State shootings back in 1970s.
What, I'm not similar with that at all, screw you!

Jesus, shit. It will be a Disney-style musical fuck-up to catch up with the Glee hype.

I swear to god if they show a preview for this movie (whenever in the future when there actually is one) and you see Zac Efron twirling around a water fountain singing...all hope is lost.

I meant familiar. Its been a long weekend.

I think it may be a good thing to have young stars like efron and timberlake because it will bring a younger crowd to the movie. While those of us in ohio are obviously aware of what happened at kent state, I'm sure the younger population outside of ohio is not as knowledgable. The historic significance is important to convey.

Chances hollywood incorporates Lebron's free agency into this movie?? like.... "The hope of Lebron's signing, died at KSU"

Is this going to be a musical?

"Ohio" was most likely chosen as the title as it pays homage to the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song of the same title. It was a protest song written by Neil Young in reaction to the KSU shootings.

Tin soldiers and Nixon coming,
We're finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drumming,
Four dead in Ohio.

Gotta get down to it
Soldiers are cutting us down
Should have been done long ago.
What if you knew her
And found her dead on the ground
How can you run when you know?

God this sounds fucking retarded. a shooting that happened 40 years ago, which was politically charged and has virtually no connection to current events. What possible connection could the creators hope to make with current audiences? Just seems like a whole unnecessary, and uninteresting waste of time.

I'm down as long as they shoot it at KSU! Can anyone say extras needed?

who is going to play Josh Cribbs?
