Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Despite the fact these are delicious...

...JR Holden does leave a bad taste in my mouth. I hope the Russian mafia made him an offer he can't refuse or he really hated living in Pittsburgh that much. Either might make his situation more palatable.

Did anyone read this interview with Chris Kaman?

Frickin' toolbox. I enjoy the part where he says his parents don't support his decision. I know the US has sharked thier share of athletes from other countries, including Hakeem the Dream, but at least they lived in the U.S. and spoke English.

Have a look into US National soccer team, olympic squad and otherwise. Shoot, Freddy Adu was practically plucked from Africa before he was a teenager.

I totally agree with what you are saying, but Kaman in particular annoys me because he doesn't even live in Germany. He didn't play professionally in Germany for a few years, decide he likes it there, and became a national citizen. He just found a legal loophole that allowed him to apply for citizenship.

At least Freddy Adu moved here for political asylum, much like Loul Deng in Great Britain.

Ricky Rubio is something else. and the world champ Spanish team has no qualms about making him the pointman on offense AND defense during the crucial posessions.

Wow. Delly with a STRONG 23 and 13, as the Aussies rout Serbia. Patty Mills with 26. Aussies might be the second best team in this Olympics!

They have 7 solid players: Delly, Patty, Ingles, Baynes, Bogut, Anderson, and Bairstow. If they had one more NBA caliber guard, I would agree. BTW: Serbia had the worst defensive perimeter, wasting great big man play. We also had a Milan Macvan sighting in the early 4th quarter!

That Saric block on Gasol tho... Croatia has mojo.

Did I seriously make the first post in this thread in 8 years? Is there no other thread on Olympic basketball?

Yea, you did. And then someone gave you a "disagree" without any explanation or comment.

I still think we're going to regret the Delly move.

how was kyrie?

He looks good when he's actually looking to score. He just unfortunately isn't doing that much in these first two games. He basically brings the ball up the court, makes his first pass, and rarely sees the ball again. I'd love for him to be more aggressive but a lot of players are deferring to Durant and Melo.

I've been underwhelmed with how we've looked offensively. A lot of one-on-one, dribble drive ball-hogging crap, which is leading to careless turnovers. Hopefully our team plays with a bit more focus tomorrow against Australia. They will need to.

The Delly VS. Irving matchup is upon us!

Isn't Cedi Osman playing in these Olympics? Anyone know how he is doing?

For what it's worth.. Delly looked awful defensively. He was getting torched at times and couldn't get through screens. I'm thinking the FO concluded Delly peaked defensively vs. Golden State and what we saw last season was him returning to earth.

He's still the undisputed floater king though.
