Open Discussion (Cavs + related issues)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You guys are over evaluating Shump as good as he has been unless those teams FO and owners turn into the Kings I am not sure that will get it done.
Kings were high on Shump last year I believe?

Suns because they are trying to move Tucker and why not throw in Barbosa? They might as well let Ulis get that playing time.

Yeah I do get the Suns assuming we sign Sanders we would have to thrown in Liggins or McCrea to make it work based on open roster spots.

Delly wouldn't be a bad contract on this team though.
Him and LeBron ran the pick and roll perfectly.

Not sure now is the time to bring Delly back and he really did nothing against GS It would be great for the rest of the regular season but that ship has sailed for now at least.

Shump for Collison and Maclemore would make a lot of sense to me IMO. That goes pretty well with a Sanders signing.

There'd been talk over the past two years that Sacramento had interest in Shumpert, but now that they just acquired Hield to be their SG of the future, I'd be surprised if they still are as interested in Shump as before.

I would go with this as well as a poster above said the Kings would want Shump but the problem is the Cavs like how he has been playing. Rudy Gay IMO was the Cavs target all along and it sucks.

They could run him in the Back up role if we got Maclemore as he is fits the team better IMO so a Shump, McRea for a MaC and Collison makes sense. It also keeps the open roster spot for Sanders or buy out player.

Not that they couldn't shuffle things around but they currently have: Hield, Garrett Temple, Arron Afflalo, McLemore, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, and Malachi Richardson. That's 7 shooting guards on their 15 man roster

Not sure they'll think the answer to that is to trade one SG(McLemore) for two more(Shump/McCrae) while also trading one of their only two PGs

Sending Shump to a 3rd team might work. Maybe something along the lines of Shump and Felder to Minny, Rubio and Shabaz to the Kings, Collison and Ben M to Cleveland.

Collison and Mclemore are both free agents

I cant see giving Shump for 2 guys who could just walk next season

Shump is an asset because of his contract. It would be a waste.

Id rather have rubio and shabazz than collison and mclemore

Rubio is at least under contract and an asset

Muhammed is better than mclemore

Yeah but Tyreke can play PG, Hield and Shump at the SG. Galloway they might buy out Temple and Richardson they could experiment with. I mean if they are in tank mode stock piling players is not a bad thing. Plus the Cavs and Maclemore have been connected for sometime. Plus the kings might trade for another big man by flipping some of the log jam players. I can see them going for Brook Lopez actually.

They will not trade him unless it is the Rubio and Shabazz deal no way you pass that up. That is a long shot but it is fun to talk about this kind of thing to ponder a players value.
