I swear this was already posted & laughed at.

Who the hell is Clevis? What kind of dumb name is that?

Oh....hes a "contributor" to Fansided.

Yeah I just saw it in the rant thread. I was looking for the Gilbert thread to bump it but couldn't find it.

This is why I drop a disagree whenever anyone says "it's over" or "we might as well start the rebuild now" or "it's hopeless."

I hate everything about this team right now, but I also believe that we could turn a corner after the trade deadline. There is still a LOT of basketball to be played.

The problem is one of degree.

The current slump is a lot worse than going 19-20 to start 2014-2015, the 2nd half slump last year, or the Jan 2016 Warriors blowout slump.

Our average point diff, which for most all NBA teams has been predictive, even if Bron has always been able to outperform it by a few points in the playoffs, is a lot worse than recent years - and teams like Toronto and Boston have pulled a ways ahead.

Also, our likely win total, even if it's also a LeBron overperformer, right now looks like we'll be under the 51 we limped to last year - even if it looked better before the slump - and it's also predictive in that very few low-50s/lockout equivalent or less teams have won it all. Granted, Wade has a 52-win championship under his belt, and he also brings us that experience now, but without getting into discussion about refs/etc that was not a repeatable event.

Ty why don't you just put Clam Chowder out in the parking lot with his Boston buddy????

This is where I'm at...this already feels like a wasted year, just like last year ended up being.

People can throw out exceptions all they want to, but the reality is that low-50 win teams don't win titles. The season we won we tallied 57 regular season wins, which is historically congruent with other title-winning franchises.

I realize that this Cavs team is a bit of an anomaly when it comes to their regular vs. post-season play but I'm just not feeling confident here. I'm really starting to doubt if we even win a Central Division title this year.

I sure hope Tristan wakes up and bring some energy and help defense and some freaking rebounding back to his game now that he is starting again

If Tristan can get his shit together it would save us from needing to trade our own pick just to get him off the team...

He makes the Cavs so much better. He really really exhausts the oppositions defense because along with Korver he just scares the opponent into defending so far out on the perimeter.

Not only that, but Frye improved his interior defense this year, he beefed up some in the off season and practiced post defense. Granted, he was improving from an awful baseline, but it's not like TT is any good now either.
