OSU @ Michigan Game Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I assume everyone saw when Michael Shaw went after some guy on the team who wasn't even wearing his uniform or pads yet, while he had all of his on. 7 carries and 7 yards later. Tough luck prick.

Im still trying to find out who the OSU player was.

I think his number was #17, but according to ESPN we have 3 guys with that number.

im sitting in my Ann Arbor hotel room after the game and...

well we beat ourselves much more than you guys beat us... that should worry you all when you head to the rose bowl

cause UM is not any good lol

lol this has to be a joke.

Jim shuts down the passing game when OSU goes up by 2 scores. He still doesn't trust Pryor as much as he should and doesn't want Pryor tossing a pick 6 and letting a team back in it. Which is why OSU didn't blow up Penn State, Iowa and scUM.

Oh well go find another coach and come back next year. ;)

I think it was our Punter, Ben Buchanan # 17

On the left...

But then again, it looked like Grant Schwartz # 17

and yes, they are two different people, they look like twins
UPDATE: It was, indeed Schwartz.

you guys are certainly the better team... ive never argued differently...by far the better team...

but you should be worried when we throw 4 ints have a fumble you get a TD on and we miss a FG and you still only win by 11

ya ya ya Tressell shut down the offense blah blah blah... other teams were running through our defense like butter...with the same kind of vanilla looking stuff you threw at us today... so why did you stuggle to score when others put up 40???

just saying... we played pretty damn good today and if we dont hand you 10 points (fumble TD and missed FG) its a completly different game

Tressel called the game that way. Deny it all you want; it's what happened. You'll have all winter to think up hypotheticals, bro.

Missed FGs dont give points to the other team, either. Ohio State was beating you guys today. It was just going to happen, no matter what. I think MICH fans need to get over it and stop pretending "we lost it; they didnt win it! We outplayed them!"

And for the record, no, you didnt play a damn good game. Where is this myth coming from? You turned it over 5 times and missed a FG, and only scored 10 pts and lost the game by two scores. Never, ever ever ever say a team that plays a game like that "played a good game." That is mistake ridden football.

Rant over.

ok your right we didnt give 7 points and miss 3 points on a chip shot fg....

but good luck in your next game...

play like that and youll get ran over.... but I will be rooting for you... honestly i cheer for you all every other game of the year

but I am fucking tired of you buckeye fans....rant over

If we play like we did today vs anybody we win.

Why?

Because Jim only calls the game like that when we are winning. He knows we just need to kill the clock and if a team can score a 70+ yard drive for a TD on our D good for you and then Tress will open the book and start passing again. Like he did when scUM scored today and we got to ball and went 70+ yards for a TD.

Really I just don't think Tress wants to put the game on the line with Pryor passing now that he isn't 100% in the 3 biggest games of the year. When he needed to pass we did. Tress has done what was needed to win the games the past 3 weeks.

PS: What bowl game is scUM going to be playing in this season? Same as last season? :king:

If anyone can get a hold of that Shaw video, I'd love to see exactly what went down.

Unfortunately, I had to work (and couldn't get out of it, I tried) and missed the game. Simply from looking at analysis on the game as well as box scores and reading other forums, I will admit there was a combination of Michigan's offense beating themselves and Ohio State's defense making big plays when it mattered most. Forcier's fumble was caused when he was avoiding pressure by scrambling. When it came down to it, Forcier couldn't win the game for them (and he had opportunities to make it close) and as a team, the defense bent but didn't break, which is key. It's how you play inside the red zone, and that's when we clamped down and forced mistakes.

I knew all along Michigan was going to play a better game than most people expected. Like said before, Tressel's gameplan plays a huge role. Michigan is porous defensively but to exploit that, you have to take chances. That isn't Tressellball and isn't how Ohio State beats Michigan. Tressel has shown in the past the willingness to throw the ball around the field, see Troy Smith's Heisman year to fully understand that. If we don't have a good QB that's capable of making those plays, he's not going to call them. He called them for Smith. He's not going to call them for Pryor or Todd Boeckman.

Don't forget that Pryor barely overthrew 2 long bombs to Posey. OSU left 14 points on the board.

Also, on Michigan;s lone forced TO that set up their lone TD, Donovan Warren looked like he arrived a little early on Posey, and could've been flagged.

Basically, it was very close to being 35-3, OSU.
