Hakeem Olajuwon: loved his game, physicality, post game, and his hook shot. Loved shooting hook shots when I was a kid, until a coach told me to shoot with both hands even though I make. Never understood these type of coaches because I always believed if you can make em keep shooting.
Dominique Wilkins: very humble, hard working player, torn his Achilles and came back stronger and proved critics wrong. I got to have dinner with him once and he is one guy I highly respect as a player and as a person. His son is going to be good one day.
Gary Payton “Glove”: one of the best defenders and fought night after night guarding the best players and be able to create offensively, being a leader, score, and one of the best IQ on the court.
Chris Paul: I know he gets bad credit for flopping and complaining but I really like his game. Ability to shoot outside, great passer, good mid range, always wanted him to win a championship.
Rajon Rondo: he was always criticized with the Boston team but he worked hard and deserves a lot of credit. Such a crafty player, awesome defender, leader, high IQ, passing is phenomenal, makes clutch decisions and shot play-making.
Giannis: not many players these days still play for their franchise and want to keep being in the same team no matter what. These are the type of players I miss and lots of respect in improving his game and high character. You cannot dislike this guy.
And Donovan Mitchell but now he plays for us. Humble, hard working, willing to improve, builds off other talents and listens. Good on and off the court. Offensively talented. Love his game and looking to see how he does better with us.
