It won't matter how they try to stop Kobe, you just can't stop him..He's going to get his 25+ points regardless if he take more than 30+ shots to get it..But if i'm Denver, i wouldn't be worried about Kobe getting his as long as Gasol and Odom doesn't step up..You have to find a way to keep both Gasol and Odom from not getting offensive rebounds..Kobe can score 50+ points if he want, but if the Nuggets shut down both Odom and Gasol, the Lakers won't win..When Kobe is forcing shot, its not a good thing for the Lakers..The Lakers are the most dangerous team in the NBA when they move the ball around more, you have to take that away from them..One player can't win the whole game by himself, you just need to shut down his key players and make him play "kobe's ball" instead of the triangle offense..These two players will be key factor the Lakers, they both capable of giving you 25+ rebounds combined night in and night out...You won't win games without key offensive rebounds, if you don't give the Lakers too many second chance points they can't beat you..
Keys for the Nuggets:
-Let Kobe play "Kobe's ball". when he tries to force shots, he kills the whole triangle offensive..
-Respect Derek and Ariza perimeter shots, they can't leave these two guys wide open..
-Attack their interior players (Gasol, Odom, Bynum),challenge their bigs and put them on foul trouble early..
-No second chance points, you have to find a way to get 40+ rebounds in order to beat the Lakers..
-Did i mentioned attack the rim more? when you attack the rim aggressively, good things happens..You'll have a chance to clean up your own miss shot..Don't settle for jumpers!
-play smart, you can't have more than 10 turnovers..
- Stay out of foul trouble, play one-on-one defense..
