Wasn't looking for support actually. I simply stated something I feel history will weigh in on. I just don't think history will show Barack Obama as a very good President. I also think he will be seen as weak. That's my opinion of the future. You can disagree with that and that is more than fine. In my opinion his signature bills passed because he either used an executive order or he used full control of both houses; Obamacare and the 2009 Stimulus. In my opinion he could have used that full control in a much better way and would have garnered more support not only from the public at large but also from Congress. He got zero support from Republicans to speak of and Obamacare is not very popular with the public. Going straight to Universal Health Care would have given him much more support.

You are very free to disagree though. I'll still call him weak no matter what your opinion is.

That's quite different than what Kagan was involved in before she was appointed to the High Court.

In addition what is your barometer in considering Obama "weak" while continuing to be a Bush apologist. Obama has spent most of his presidency combatting the steamrolling mess he inherited from W.

I already explained why I think Obama is weak. Of course there are many more reasons why I think that but I have no desire to debate it with you.

Bush wasn't good either, but he did have to deal with a Democrat controlled Congress for his last two years. He also allowed our debt to balloon 4.5 Trillion in 8 years. Obama has ballooned it almost 5 Trillion in 3 years with two of those years of Congress controlled by Democrats. 4 straight years Congress was controlled by Democrats.

ok easy question there big thinker . . .how much of our current debt is attributable to programs enacted under Obama's watch . . .get back to me on that after you do a little research

has he done enough IMHO to address government spending .. . no, my biggest beef is him not addressing the causes of our financial issues - i.e jobs and economic growth
despite all the partisan rhetoric , no matter how people spin it , government debt and spending is not the primary reason for our economic woes!

its not a matter of being "no better than Doug" if you refer to getting off topic then I am guilty

doug has blamed all that is wrong in his life and the world on those pesky liberals while not providing much other than his overinflated opinions of his assumptions

It is hard to debate with some who sees the world in black and white

do I feel there is a need for universal health care . . . yes

do I feel the bill passed known to some as Obama care is the way to go . . . no

do I feel there was anything "sinister" in the President's desire for universal coverage . . . no he saw first hand when his mom was dying of cancer the faults in the healthcare system. was it his motivation in pursuing this , I can't speculate. He did mention in his 2008 campaign that health care costs was one of the primary reasons for bankruptcy in america.

do I feel there are those politically motivated to NOT embrace universal health care - yes, I am all for making the health care more accountable than the banking industry, however there are those content in continuing with the status quo while not acknowledging how it affects those currently who have limited or no coverage

my other aside with Doug he uses the term "liberal" like a derogatory term. Bush did that and he looked like a fucking moron in doing so. for someone who whines about name calling start there !
