Yeah... hard pass on Mike McCarthy.

He's just not a good coach. He owes his entire career to Aaron Rodgers' greatness. He's Mike Brown or Ty Lue. Probably not the worst coach in the world, but take away the GOAT from his team and he's not winning shit.

Mike McCarthy decided not to go for it on 4th and 2 just to punt it into the opponents end zone and not touch the ball again with Rodgers. I feel like that’s him in a nutshell.

Also not sure I can comprehend why he elected to pass 3 straight times when Jones was gashing.

I really struggle with getting excited about him — if he were even available and/or a candidate

This is accurate it seems.

I imagine the candidates for this job have to be:

Harbaugh
Arians
Taub
DeFillipo
McDaniels
McCarthy
Williams (admitted as such in the PC)

...
And reading between the lines (feel free to cold take this) Campbell, Riley are not it. THOUGH...there are similar vibes to how Dorsey and Crew were drooling over Mayfield last year? They seem to be feeling the same about Campbell apparently.

I also think a "call" will be made to Cowher (judging by the last couple of efforts at this). He'll say "Yes but..." ask for a Gruden like salary and then told "No".

We're going to have to (likely) compete against
-Green Bay
-Denver
-Baltimore
-Tampa Bay
-NY Jets

Flip and taub are the only ones I want from that list. Hell no to McDaniels. He was a dick as a HC. No one liked him. and he went 4-12. How many great coaches go 4-12? Arians runs a 7 step drop system that baker doesn’t need to be in. McCarthy is stale as fuck. Harbaugh maybe but he’s never impressed me at all with his in game coaching. And no to cowher. The game has far passed him and his system by. Plus his clock management skills were horrible.

I heard Dorsey’s favorite car is a Lincoln... just saying

I find myself hopelessly rooting for the Packers as they continue to throw away games with the sole hope that McCarthy would be retained.

....and now, it's becoming increasingly obvious that McCarthy is the white Hue Jackson.

Alright. Before I said I'd be OK with McCarthy, just that he wouldn't be in my top 3.

Nah, fuck that. Keep him FAR away from this team.
