Do Not Sell My Personal Information

I carefully set up a theater room, calibrated all of the speakers, then calibrated the sound to the reference level that it's supposed to be a. When I play a movie at that level, my wife says "turn it down, it's too loud". I always answer "it's supposed to be loud".

Interesting. I've always enjoyed the experience. Not a huge fan of 3-D, but always thought the sound was great on 2-D films i.e. Dunkirk.
I have "old person ears"

Whenever I went to bars, I could never have a conversation because I could never hear anyone over the music. I think it's genetic.

Just watched Shot Caller last night. It's available on Prime instant video.

Pretty good, gritty movie. Surprised it didn't get more attention for theaters. It has Jaime Lannister, The Punisher, Ghost from Power, and several other notable actors/actresses.

The Shape of Water: 8.5

I really liked it. Guillermo Del Toro's new one. Sally Hawkins plays a mute woman that catches a liking for a sea creature that is brought into a research facility that she works for as a custodian along with Octavia Spencer. Hawkins is fantastic as is Michael Shannon who plays the keeper of the monster... a discovery that they want to make sure doesn't fall into Russian hands. This along with Lady Bird are two of the best to come out this year for me.

To be honest, that's probably the main reason I'd enjoy them keeping him around. It'd be awesome to see him teaming up with Spider-Man, Hulk, and Thor. Doubt we'd get to see him with Iron Man or Cap, at least not the current versions of either character, but honestly I just want to see him palling around with Spidey. Always enjoyed when they interacted in the comics.

I can't see Marvel creating any tie-ins with an established universe like X-Men. IF they had Hugh remain Wolverine, they'd probably have to make it clear that his Wolverine is somehow different from the other Wolverine/hasn't gone through those experiences... It wouldn't make sense.

If I had to guess, they just wouldn't address anything about the other films.. It just wouldn't be talked about. It's a lot like Logan.. that movie kinda happens and kinda doesn't. It's in the future, and at the same time isn't. It's almost like a "What If" comic.

My roommate saw it yesterday, said it was incredibly strange. Contemplating seeing it...

Yeah, the whole sea monster/ human woman relationship thing can seem a bit strange on the surface... but it works! Go see it.

"The Shape of Water" felt like if the Cohen brothers tried to make a sci-fi movie.

Interesting though.
