Is there anything good on Amazon Prime? I'm coming up empty unless it's older films, and I've seen that better older films on their several times (GB&U, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Omega Man, etc).

Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse... If it's not a 10/10, it's about as damn close as you can get. That just might be my favorite superhero movie period (definitely my favorite spiderSpid film), the animation is exceptional and the story and character development is top notch. Really can't think of how they could have improved on it, and Nice Cage was perfect.

Damn, really???

I haven't seen it, but .. thought it was going to be like, a kids movie?

It's like those great movies that are made for kids but has something in it that everyone will love. It's a great coming of age story, there are some really funny moments (John Mulaney and Nic Cage are perfectly cast), and the animation is incredible. Sony made this new animation style where the frame rate is slowed way down and they have these speech and thought bubbles that pop up at various points, so it really feels like you're reading panels of a comic. If you're a Spider-Man or comics fan, this is a must watch. Even if you aren't, this is a movie you'll enjoy.

I don't think I've seen a Nic Cage movie since his tax problems, and I don't even care he had tax problems.

Watched Santa Buddies with my daughter on Netflix.

I really think George Wendt mailed this one in.

His entire career led him to play that character in Mandy. All that hard work overacting in B movies paid dividends for him in that role.

Update: They did not bring George Wendt back to play Santa in Santa Paws 2. Cherly Ladd was surprisingly good as Ms. Claus in the sequel.

What the hell does John McClane do from January to November to make his wife so upset that she disregards that he saved her from death by terrorist twice?

I played cards with the kids last night. The TV was on, so I tried to put something on Netflix to watch while we played. Kids kept complaining "we can't watch that while we play cards because we have to pay attention to that show/movie to watch it".

Then there it was, the perfect answer, something to put on where it wouldn't matter if we missed stuff - the worst movie ever made - the one I warned everyone to not watch - sure enough - the cloverfield paradox.

So I said "we can watch this just to count the dumb things they put in the movie." When I knew something stupid was about to happened I announced "Stupid Alert". It kind of defeated the purpose because we would interrupt the card game to watch for the stupid thing.

We lost track and sometimes it was hard to decide if what we just saw counted as 1 stupid thing, 2 stupid things, or more that were occurring simultaneously.

We counted to 40 with multiple contenders for the dumbest thing ever in a movie that wasn't intentionally trying to be dumb.

We don't drink, but one thing is clear. Don't ever make a drinking game out of finding the stupid things in this movie. You'll die of alcohol poisoning.
