Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I thought Bill Murray did not want to do another Ghostbusters and with the passing away of Harrold Ramis it was all over. I hope this is not a reboot.

Maybe they told him if he didn't do it, they'd make another one with never funny Melissa McCarthy :chuckle:

Saw Glass.

I can see why it’s been panned by critics, but I enjoyed it. It’s not as good as Split or Unbreakable, but it held my attention, and McAvoy is impressive.

6.5/10

Already confirmed not a reboot. Continuation of the original universe, but using a group of kids.

Stars a girl.

Sounds Stranger Things-esque.
What made the original so great is the whit and sarcasm from everyone and how almost all of the scenes were ad-libbed. I can't think of 4 teen actors that are going to be brilliant enough to compete with how Murray and crew were.

Thats probably why they aren't rebooting it but 'setting it in the same universe'. I think it will be fine as long as they don't try to mimic the original bc as you noted you aren't going to find a group like that to carry it without it feeling forced. As long as the people who slaughtered the original reboot arent involved I have some faith.

The Cuck, Paul Feig, is not involved.

Ivan Reitman, the original producer, and Dan Aykroyd are the producers.

Ivan's son, Jason, is the director. It appears they are running with a version of the long-rumored script involving a next generation of Ghostbusters that Aykroyd has been touting for a couple decades.

However, Leslie Jones has expressed dismay: https://www.rollingstone.com/movies...lams-insulting-new-ghostbusters-movie-781951/

All I have to say to Ms. Jones, and the rest of those involved with the horrid GB 2016 is when you make a terrible film that loses $150 million, don't expect a sequel.

You reap what you sow when you insult the source material, the fans and a gender in general.

so I joked about her before, but how did MelissaMcCarthy get nominated for an Oscar? I've never seen her in anything that didn't make me cringe, usually to the point where i didn't finish watching the movie. I didn't even watch the 2016 ghostbusters because she was in it.

The latest film she is in has received wide critical acclaim.

I have not seen it though.

So it's not another one of those movies where she thinks she's funny, but really isn't?

From the reviews it seems to be a well-written crime-bio picture.

So, probably not her making jokes about laxatives or merkins.

Leaving Las Vegas is so fucked up. I hate that it works.
