Big question is how'd the Warriors do?

That was an instance of where I ran into trouble drafting. Marbury and Vesley weren't available to draft. I had to sub them for Sebastian Telfair and Austin Daye. So they weren't truly portrayed in all their glory.

Dion took on the lead-scoring role, dropping 20 a game. Draymond and Michael Beasley performed well.

Ultimately they ended up with 28 wins though.

Im straight tanking, and if anyone is in win now mode I have a few top tier role players.

One pg, one center and one pf/sf small baller. They'll be great for the first three years, where I won't win anything

rosters have a ten player min so I might run a sample season after we finish this round

Two questions related to this but for anyone who has basketballgm and/or nba2k to answer:

1. Is it known how different basketballgm is compared to Nba2k in terms of what it values and how it runs its sims?

2. What would the difference be between run a sample season in basketballgm vs. our actual first sim season? Would the sample season just show us the most likely full season outcome if no trades were made and no minutes/lineup tweaks were made over the course of the season?

N in the spread sheet there's two potentials, one next to overall and one way on the right. Que?

I just finished a simulated season on NBA 2K. I only did the first 8 rounds of draft picks, and a few picks got messed up, but the result from season 1 was Miami as the champions.
Eastern Conference
1- CHA: 53-29 (Highest point diff at +5.9)
2- DET: 49-33
3- MIA: 49-33 (Highest fg% at .482%)
4- BOS: 47-35
5- CHI: 42-40
6- IND: 40-42 (Highest APG= 25.4)
7- PHI: 39-43
8- CLE: 38-44

Western Conference
1- PHX: 52-30 (109.4 ppg = highest in the league)
2- DAL: 49-33
3- SAC: 48-34
4- MIN: 47-35
5- MEM: 46-36
6- NO: 45-37 (Highest 3PT%= .395)
7- UTA: 43-39
8- OKC: 42-40
Just missed: SA 41-41, LAL 41-41, POR 40-42

Extra notes: Russ= MVP, Nerlens Noel= DPOY, Buddy Hield= ROTY,
Surprise 2nd team All-NBA= Gordon Hayward, Highest OPPG at 108.1= Orlando, Highest RPG= Golden State, Surprise retirement after year 1= Kyle Korver.
*At the beginning of year 2: SA, CHA, SAC, and ORL are the top 4 rated teams overall.

Like I said, I only had the first 8 rounds. Kind of interesting that the team with the number 1 pick ended up winning year 1.

I also wanted to note that the idea of a more competitive balance in the league was absolutely realized. 15 teams had between 43 wins and 36 wins.

Given how young my team is, 42-40 would be a great result.

The oldest player on the Thunder is Ed Davis, who just turned 27 in June.

3 of the 5 starters are 24 or younger with good potential.

Will be interested to see how the league sim goes in comparison to NBA2K.

I really don't understand the year two stuff though. 2 of the top 4 teams for year two didn't make the playoffs? Seems odd. Orlando is the really strange one.....non .500 team with the worst defense in the league is a top 4 team the next season?
